More intermediate fossils

More intermediate fossils found. Now they are flying reptiles with feather-like structures.

Are there mutations for everything imaginable?
Like looking exactly as a leaf? HA HA. who’s the gullible party here?

Get yourself a CAT scan, there's some serious fucking mutations going on in there.

He couldn't find an objective fact with state of the art Sat nav, and rat spit navigating.

How many pages now and not one shred of evidence for his superstitious fantasy.

He prefers to avoid that fact and attack science. Why though, that won't make his creation myth remotely valid. Why do creatards always think it's either or, a false dichotomy fallacy.

Looks like you’re giving the ridiculous leaf imaging mutation a good leaving alone, I can’t blame you since the incredulity of it is staggering , even to evo worshipers like you

TheBlindWatchmaker's picture
Have you never heard of

Have you never heard of mimicry? Can you explain why all creatures adapt to their environments?

For example you have Mullerian mimicry where two or multiple species may mimic/adapt to look like a similar poisonous creature,
thus taking advantage of their traits and becoming less likely to be attacked.

Or Batesian Mimicry where a species body will follow the morphology of another in order to deceive a predator.

You also have the opposite effect in the form of Peckamian Mimicry, in which the creature in question will develop the physiology and/or traits of a non aggressive or passive creature, thus luring in others that think they are in fact the predator.

That is evolution in a nut shell.

I thin that lie sets some

I think that lie sets some sort of record.

http://www.atheistrepublic.com/forums/debate-room/has-nature-ever-create...

Since you're lying and ignoring my response there is an easy link, liar.

tbowen's picture
Oh I know exactly what it is.

Oh I know exactly what it is. What you’re not explaining is how luckily impossible for a creature to undergo just the right mutation to look exactly like something that will benefit it.
The implausibly of it should give you serious pause if you have an honest mind

TheBlindWatchmaker's picture
Luckily? impossible?

Luckily? impossible?
You really need to pick one, they're not mutually exclusive to one another.

However, I will do it for you if you so wish.

Given that it happens, we can rule out impossibility.

That leaves us with luck, can an insect be lucky to develop over hundred of thousands of years?
Of course, and if a chameleon can do so spontaneously, then it isn't a stretch to understand that other creatures can do it over vast lengths of time but sticking to one particular look and set of features.

I have a feeling you have been told something without fully researching the material!

Furthermore, this is observable in nature.

To think otherwise is just dimwitted.

Sheldon's picture
"The implausibly of it should

"The implausibly of it should give you serious pause if you have an honest mind"

Only to anyone too stupid to understand that "beneficial" in evolution means a benefit to reproduction over other less beneficial mutations. Ipso fact billions of years of evolution eradicate the majority of mutations, and the ones left perfectly match the environment in which they evolved.

It has absolutely nothing to do with luck, and nothing happens in an instant, or by magic, in the way creatards like you keep lying, though why you have a problem with that is hard to fathom, given its the core of your own vapid unevidenced superstition about magic apples and talking snakes.

Blind faith and rank stupidity may get you into the creatard hall of fame, but all you'll get here is belly laughs. So again I do wonder what you hope to gain? You must enjoy being laughed at...

Sheldon's picture
"What you’re not explaining

"What you’re not explaining is how luckily impossible for a creature to undergo just the right mutation to look exactly like something that will benefit it."

It's not luck, you're using the erroneous creationist lie that only successful mutations occur, so they defy the odds somehow.

You're looking at the end of billions of years of evolution, only the successful mutations remain. That's what beneficial mutation means in evolution, it increases the chances the mutation will be passed on.

Seeemples...

Now what objective evidence can you demonstrate for your bronze age creation myth about talking snakes and magic apples. We can't help noticing you're simply repeating your lie about mutations, ignoring the responses, and refusing to answer questions about your creation myth?

What objective evidence can you demonstrate that anything is created? Or that any deity or anything supernatural exist all?

Evolution could be falsified tomorrow, that still doesn't evidence your vapid superstition.

Come on now, Tempus fugit, or we'll have no choice but to infer the emperor has no clothes on after all...

Your credibility needs serious evaluation

A katydid on a leaf, do they look exactly the same?
Or has one adapted over time to look similar due to environmental conditions?

My credibility is fine sweetheart, this isn't a complex debate.

Oh dear, if the environment changes faster than anything can evolve they generally become extinct. Leaves and plants are organic and evolved as well, ten dollar bills are not, they're man made. Can you really be this obtuse by accident?

Now can you or can you not demonstrated any objective evidence for anything being created by a supernatural deity using clay, magic apples, and talking snakes?

Your evasion infers you have nothing....

It's not luck. Mutations are

It's not luck. Mutations are random, but the mechanisms that determine which survive are not random at all. Natural selection is insentient, but its also relentless and methodical in allowing only what you keep calling "lucky" mutations to survive.

Evolution is an insentient process, so luck is meaningless in that context. Only humans perceive things in this way.

Now can you demonstrate any objective evidence fora deity or anything supernatural?

You seem to have stopped even pretending you can now. Whether you accept the scientific fact of evolution or not, you're still holding an empty bag as far as your vapid superstition is concerned.

This article seemed

This article seemed particularly apropos...

https://theness.com/neurologicablog/index.php/dumb-things-creationists-say/

"Having read deeply into the creationist literature and having had countless discussions with creationists, one thing is clear to me – creationists do not understand evolutionary theory.

To be fair, most people don’t really understand evolutionary theory, but creationists have a particularly poor understanding. Their problem goes beyond generic scientific illiteracy. They primarily learn about evolution from secondary hostile sources – other creationists. What they learn is creationist made-up nonsense about evolution, which they confuse for the science of evolution. This condemns them to mostly attack pathetic straw men rather than what scientists actually claim about evolution."

This article is also salient I feel...

How would I possibly be

How would I possibly be stumped?

You have made it self evident that not only do you not understand evolution, you equally do not understand micro/macro evolution.
You cannot accurately define all three and have consistently made huge errors in doing do, despite being given complete dictionary definitions.

And the cherry on top of the proverbial cake, when demonstrated with how creatures all adapt to environments, you say this is impossible and by inference must be due to your deity and therefore this creature resembling its surroundings (like millions of other creatures do) must be due to magic.

You have all the intellectual fortitude of the leaf the katydid sits upon.

J N Vanderbilt,

J N Vanderbilt,

The only reasons you are giving to refute evolution is that you do not understand or do not believe how it works. These are not good reasons to deny a scientific theory. You or I might not understand or conceive how quantum mechanics work but that does not mean quantum mechanic is not true.

You need to read some of the materials the people here have provided and then come back with some serious questions or doubts. Otherwise, you look like an ignoramus who refuses to learn.

YOU asked for evidence and I

YOU asked for evidence and I supplied it.

Now, can you demonstrate any objective evidence for your vapid superstitious myth involving an unevidenced deity creating humans from clay using magic, and talking snakes?

Your trolling won't provoke me, you must realise that by now. All you're doing is making it abundantly obvious that obfuscation is all you have left, since your plagiarised arguments were exposed as specious fallacies.

I've seen this act too many times now, from too many theists, frustrated that their verbiage is refuted and exposed.

You sought atheists out to convince them your vapid superstion had merit remember. No one here sought you out, or cares whether you accept objective scientific facts or whether you believe an imaginary sky fairy from a bronzeage superstition created everything using magic fruit and talking snakes.

Evolution is simple even a creationist can understand. You see, or are ignoring the basic fact, that Darwinism relies on its almighty engine: luck of chance mutations (error).
