The main fault intheistic reasoning is to attach the same importance or significance to atheism as they attach to their theistic belief.
My disbelief in your claim Jesus was a deity is no more significant to me than your disbelief Xīpe Totēc the deity of life-death-rebirth is to you.
You may believe there are dire consequences, but I find that idea risible. If theists didn't try to insist others must live their lives in accordance with their superstitious dogma I'd not waste any energy on them or their beliefs.

You claimed it was your personal opinion that torturing children was immoral. Why do you think it is immoral? Can you really claim to have objective morality and not know why torturing children is immoral?
If there is no overarching purpose to life then atheist no more lose anything, than theists win, you'd have to be particularly stupid not to realise that, and of course lets not forget you can't demonstrate a shred of objective evidence there is any ultimate purpose to life other the purpose we assign to it.

Care to enlighten us? Atheism is generally a reaction to Theist claims that god's exist.. Nothing more. What are these claims you assert atheists are making? There is no atheist world view. At\heists are liberals and conservatives. Atheists are secularists, Buddhists, New Ageists, Spiritualists and more... Where is this belief system you speak of?
Believers do not know, or are in denial of what death means: the TOTAL cessation of your existence as a self-aware entity, which is unavoidable and irreversible, and if it was not this, death as a conceptt, would not exist.
No one is making any unevidenced claims for the supernatural based on the premise Christopher Columbus existed. However as others have said there are multiple sources of objective evidence that he did exist. The problem is you're thinking in terms of yes or no rather than the balance of probability.
It's also worth mentioning that no one is trying to Tell others how they should live, or that they have access to objective morality and esoteric truth based on his (Columbus's) existence.

I'd like to answer this, but there's an atheist missionary knocking at my door. Those atheists are everywhere, preaching on street corners, begging for donations on TV, taking over school boards and trying to get their atheist dogma taught in science classes.
What are all you atheists doing on this thread if not defending your beliefs, and criticizing those of religion? You and others preach the religion of atheism.

Next you'll be crying because someone has called you dishonest. If the best you can offer to defend your religion is to lie about atheism that says it all really.
The fact an atheist holds beliefs does not in any way make atheism a belief, and a religion is by definition a set beliefs and worship, and a belief in and worship of a superhuman power or deity the very belief that is negated by atheism.

Just because you want to label a negative (do not believe in god) a "belief" does not mean it is actually a belief system. Infact basic common sense, reasoning and logic would point out not believing in something is the opposite of belief. You look pretty silly calling a non belief a belief system.
I been an atheist all my life and I have zero idea what is included in this so called: "religion of atheism" is. You are seemingly to claim more about us atheist then even us atheist know. So.. oh so wise one, what is included in our "religion of atheism?" Really what religious/religion aspects do you see us practicing? Perhaps look up the word religion and see how self proclaimed atheist debate board on the internet follows those defined aspects of religion.
Also atheist are still a tiny minority compared to theist, why do you feel so threatened by a few atheist, religion has been the de-facto dominating force for the last several thousand years. Shouldn't you feel more threatened by other religions that are far more powerful and actually have an agenda against you are your personal belief?

What FKING beliefs are you talking about. Atheism is a position on a single proposition. "God Exists. Atheism is the negation of the claim "God exists." All we want you to do is prove it. That's it and nothing more.
OF COURSE WE CRITICIZE RELIGIOUS BELIEFS:
