A video that captured the incident has been circulating online. The video, published by The Daily Mail on July 25th, shows a man recording a usual Sunday morning at the Speakers’ Corner.

Leader of Abusive Sex Cult "NXIVM" Ordered to Pay Victims $3.5 Million

On July 20, the leader of the sex cult NXIVM, Keith Raniere, was ordered by the court to pay for the removal of his initials branded into his female members. The total cost of the restitution is $3.5 million for the 21 victims. The cost includes the surgery for removing the brands, mental health therapies, and unpaid labor rendered by NXIVM's members and employees.

Texas Judge Rules Sharia Divorce Proceeding Must Be Observed

A County District Judge in Texas ordered a woman seeking a divorce to adhere to the prenuptial agreement she signed. The agreement dictates that a divorce can only be mediated by a Fiqh panel. Judge Andrea Thompson passed the decision in March 2021, ordering Mariam Ayad to divorce her husband, Ayad Hashim Latif, arbitrated by Sharia law.

The case is against the State of Mississippi over the lack of an alternative that has no extra costs to its license plates that bear the phrase, "In God We Trust." 

Circumcision Could be Banned by Anti-Transgender Alabama Bill

In March 2021, the state Senate of Alabama voted to criminalize the treatment of transgender youth with puberty blockers, hormone therapy, or surgery. Sponsored by Republican Senator Shay Shelnutt, the measure, dubbed the Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act, got approved by a 23-4 majority vote in the Senate. The state House of Representatives has already approved a companion bill.
