straw-man again, wrong again.
This is tiresome.
Your posts ought to carry a co2 warning. I've never so much vapid verbiage in my life.
Despite a warning not to link to his own website, PGJ did so (both in this string and another) and so is now gone.
I wonder if he believes that was fair? ;)
He was warned. Think of the bandwidth it'll free up.
@ Sheldon
Ah well it was entertaining for a while, makes a change from the pedlars of drive by salvation...
A stark warning that abandoning theism isn't a free pass to rationality and critical thinking. Anymore than higher education is guaranteed to make you more erudite and intelligent.
Funny story springs to mind here.
In a pub with some friends, and two of the group were teachers. One was a lecturer at a UK university. The discussion briefly turned to the standard of student intake in universities. It was pointed out that Tony Blair had stated one of his aims as PM was to ensure 50% of the population attended university. One of the teachers expressed doubts about the suitability of some of such a large demographic for higher education. The university lecturer said "50% is fine, I just wish they'd send the more intelligent half."
Made me laugh anyway.
Maybe he is right. What do you think?
I believe it is really hard to believe that he believed he was making sense about believing he invented a belief system about not believing anything. (FUCK! My brain hurts now. *groan*)
Ok Tin man, we mustn't be too hard on the Scarecrow.
In the Wizard of Oz the Scarecrow got a university diploma, and it made him smart though, so not my best analogy.
@ MCD are you wanting to do the Argument' sketch from Monty Python again? I don't believe it! *like Victor Meldrew*
I see no relevance in your question.
Bazinga....
I think he believes he was right.
I think he believes he doesn't have any beliefs.
