Atheist Republic has been repeatedly flooded with mindless spam. I think the low-life behind this pathetic campaign is a religidiot frustrated by his inability to present cogent and coherent arguments to support his immoral superstitions against atheist/humanist logic and decency. So perhaps we can see the spam as a white flag waved by a god-bothering roach who can't come out into the light for fear of being stepped on.
I've attempted to profile the childish halfwit behind this spam flood, and I've formed the following picture. Feel free to add to it. If you're the roach, try and scrape up enough courage to talk us instead of hiding behind your spamcrap.
1. Male, but not a man, with a physical age of 15-25 and a mental age of 8
2. NEET (not in education, employment or training)
3. Living with parents because of inability to make a living independently
4. Economically, intellectually, morally, socially, emotionally stunted
5. Physically small and weak with a sallow, pimply complexion and foul breath
6. Habitual user of porn but unable to achieve orgasm
7. No educational qualifications
8. Friendless
9. Regular church/mosque-goer but disliked even by fellow god-addicts

I actually think this spammer is a somewhat computer geek from Pakistan. I think that this person is radicalized but not brave enough to actually be a combatant. I think he works in a mosque where he has computer access. I believe as you do that he is between 15 to 25 maybe even a little older. I also agree that he is sexually frustrated and financially challenged.
He or even she is a coward of the highest magnitude. I also detect that they are so insecure in every aspect of their life that they cling to extremes.
This spam attack is a cry out for attention. They don't want a response. They want to shut down the site. Even though this site nothing to do with them and doesn't affect them in any way.
At best they are only annoying which means failure on their end goal, but I don't think this attacker has thought out anything. They are impulsive, immature, unsophisticated, and limited in their education.
I don't very much that they have ever participated in any discussion but I won't rule it out.
Quite possibly they are just following orders and at any one time, there is a different attacker. The fact that this person uses Arab like spam gives me to believe that they are middle eastern. A westerner from the US would be much more demonstrative but initially, take a subtle approach. Like pretending to do research for a school paper, then blasting the site with endless abortion images.
My amateur psychological profile tells me that they are a 2nd or third son of a large family. It also tells me that they have relations and ties to Canada or the US.
This is my best guess.
It is also possible it is a mostly unattended bot that crawls the net, using known vulnerabilities and exploits. That spams 100's of sites.
Eh, I will look into it, I am not an expert on this stuff, but I have some background information from my work, (freelance small project coder, mostly plugins,) that might lead to new insights the admin could use here.

I think Spam Roach is a human. When I posted my Spam Roach profile I got a definite human reaction. Within two minutes, it was being buried under a pile of his spam messages. I bumped it twice, and got the same reaction. He's lurking out there like a roach under the refrigerator, watching our reactions to his pathetic drool.
That is a good insight. The more we can learn about this guy the easier it will be to stop this nonsense.
I've also noticed that the roach often comes out around midnight in New York (about 2pm the following afternoon where I am). That suggests to me that he likes to wait until there are few people active on the site. Perhaps he feels a little insecure about his Internet anonymity. The furtive little snot certainly has lots to feel insecure about.
If the SPAMer lives in the Middle East, then he is some carpet chewing ragamuffin

I think the spammer is from India. Maybe Admin needs to introduce a twenty four hour wait time on your first post, before you can post again.
I realized a 24 hour wait for creating a first post, can help some, but a determined spammer will simply make multiple accounts 1 day in advance. It would stop the casual drive by spammer, which is good, but not a dedicated spammer like this guy. It would also create a small barrier of entry for legitimate users that want to share their new ideas. Not end of the world bad, but if it could be avoided that would be helpful in creating a larger community of debaters.
I still think creating a semi random 2-180 minute delay on creating new posts would be more helpful, with the minimum and maximum amount of time scaling up quickly for each post made per hour. A system where a spammer could make, at most, something like 6 new posts in an 8 hour period. Something that is not very distracting and easy to cull/control. A similar but less strict system can be implemented for reply postings. Something like 1-30 minute delay, that allows for 20-30 postings in an 8 hour period on average. Can also gradually loosen both of these restrictions the older the account gets. We regulars would all have to pitch in and put in strong non recycled passwords however.
