"We will of course shortly be admonished for ignoring the "evidence" that catholicray has presented."

I have not decided if questions are evidence. Do you think they are? I personally do not think so. I do not think I have presented evidence to you.

Oh, I not so sure about that.

Oh, I not so sure about that...you have presented lots of evidence for us to form a pretty sound opinion.

catholicray "I have not

catholicray "I have not decided if questions are evidence. Do you think they are? I personally do not think so. I do not think I have presented evidence to you."

Evidence is a broad term of course, but yes of course a question can represent evidence. For example when someone asks a question that contains a an informal logical fallacy, this is compelling evidence they are ignorant of informal fallacies and what they mean. In fact appeal to ignorance fallacies are often used in the form of a question, "what else could explain it" is a classic use of argumentum ad ignorantiam fallacy I see theists and religious apologists use all the time. Usually to prop up a god of the gaps polemic.

" I do not think I have presented evidence to you."

If you mean for any deity, then you certainly haven't even tried to demonstrate any objective evidence for your belief a deity exists. Don't feel too bad, no theist or religious apologist ever does on here. When they do offer something, as you did, it is usually a woefully fallacious argument like the Kalam cosmological argument you offered, which apparently you don't even know is not an argument for a deity but for a first cause. The deity is simply assumed at the end by woeful apologists like William Lane Craig.

Dear Catholic Ray,

Dear Catholic Ray,

Nine Million children die every year before they reach the age of five. Most die in terror and agony. Most of these parents believe in a God and are praying for their children to be spared. Only to learn that their prayers will Not be answered. According to Divine Command Theory, this is all part of Gods plan. Any God who would allow children to die by the millions is either impotent or evil. These parents will grieve for eternity! Either god can do nothing to help them or doesn't care to. And most of these children will be going to hell. Through no fault of their own, they were born into the wrong culture and religion where they got the wrong theology. We are being ruled by an invisible monster. God works in mysterious ways??? How do you rationalize the slaughter of innocent children? How do you rationalize child molesters, murder, mental illness, Cancer, tsunami's, war and hurricanes?
The world was created billions of years ago by a process called MTheory. Who created the creator? What was God doing before he was creating the universe? Why would God have to have his only son killed in order for us to be forgiven for our sins?

R F,

R F,

"Why would God have to have his only son killed in order for us to be forgiven for our sins?"

According to the biblical fairy tale you are also God's son, even though you might be a child of hell.

Besides did not Yesha (Jesus)

Besides did not Yesha (Jesus) always say he was the Son of Man? Then his statement, "I and the father are one," is simply reinforcing the idea that he was a son of man.

The interesting thing about

The interesting thing about the biblical stories is that there is a specific command not to engage in witchcraft but that is exactly what the major stories are based on. Jesus was accused of being a witch, which he denied of course, but he did more things that can be considered as witchcraft than even Moses did.

I am prejudiced against zombies. I have countless dead relatives. I loved all of them when they were living. But there is no way I would want to be within a thousand miles of any of them if they were resurrected as zombies. Maybe I have seen too many zombie movies. So I simply can not worship zombie Jesus. Besides according to the story when he returns he is going to be a real pain in the ass and who needs that?
