If god does exist, whatever god that maybe, would you worship this god? If there is actual evidence for this god, would believe and worship, or would you just believe in this god's existence but worshiping this god is still pending?

If i would somehow with ceirtanty know that god who created everything exists , which is impossible , i would not worship him. This god who allowed bad things and still is , is not above us , if we would point to his location that would be beneath todays human morals, He is a projected image of once primitive and bad ppl who created him.
I would not, given that we have made it as far as we have on our own, without this worship, or blessing.
I think the only way i would ever worship a god woud be if it used it's powers to force me to do it. But i would never willingly worship anything or anyone.
This is one of the first things i hated about religion. This whole "worship me or perish" attitude that hey gave god. Oh sure, such a benevolent god, but only if you worship him without question.
What a load of BS!
At 67 years of age and from an Irish-American catholic family who actually went to catholic school up to the sixth grade, thought the morals and ethics, don't steal, cheat were the point. Then at the end of the sixth grade a Jesuit Priest ask me what I thought of the religion, made the mistake of telling him I could not do a leap of faith, that the words they said never seem to match their acts, so only tried to be good. He became very angry, so I stopped pretending to care about what I thought at 12 was silly stories, just did it to please my Dad, my Dad was cool, sent me to the public school, it was like being released from a prison, while I had all the geometry to graduate from high school, the academia was great, the BS was so malignant being free of it my grades went right up. Believe religion is a way to control, has no other benefit to offer. That and I remember that really bad story about god wanting this guy to kill his son to prove his love...wanted nothing to do with that stuff, killing you kid to please someone, just stupid.
Maybe, but it's unlikely. At the very least I would have a lot questions that I would want answered...
Short answer is No. But something like abrahamic god demands worship under the threat of severe punishment...so out of fear-Yes. But it wouldn't be sencire & I would despise him even more.
only a egomaniac dictator would ask to be worshipped... the answer to this question is hell no, i wouldnt; unless i feel compelled to do it out of fear that my beloved ones would get hurt
Tman you again post a noteworthy question. The answer really is that every religion that has ever existed has claimed that there religion is the only religion with actual legit proof of there gods existence whether that a talking burning bush or a viking claiming to see a Thor. Also were there's the believers there are going to be nonbelievers like us atheist which i'm proud to call myself.
If there is a god that worth to be worship and if that god does exist, I might worship him/her not because he/she will throw me in hell but because that god is powerful, good, and loving enough to be given praise and that he loves everyone whether they believe on him or not. Most religious gods should be worship by their followers while their preachers teaches about the existence of hell and that their god has unconditional love, yet it seems contradicting due to all required conditions of religions pertaining to faith and belief.
That was one of my biggest problems with religion in the beginning, honestly. Would I worship a God who has created a world like this, with parents that abuse children, countries that kill whole populations, and diseases that tear families apart? At first I said no... and I still say no.
However, in reading Hegel (an agnostic philosopher who wrote about Christianity) and the doctrines of the Eastern religions, I've come to understand that any God would have reasons for things that we as individuals could never understand. God or no God, the system of Earth is perfect in many ways, and beautiful (I still don't believe in a theistic style God, though). I would like to understand as much of it as possible.
Understand, not worship. There's a big difference.Though there are some delightful things here :)
again an old 5 yr old post..
hey T-man i found your old account..hahah...

@Tman127182
"would you just believe in this god's existence but worshiping this god is still pending?"
i'm on a diet on worshiping...it makes me feel stupid knowing that i'm worshiping to a retard god. no thanks...
@Q Re: Tman
Nah. That ain't me, buddy. I'm obviously prettier than that Tman guy.
As for the OP's question, I've already answered it multiple times in many other threads. And my answer remains the same: "No."
Probably not. The idea of worshiping anything should turn anyone's stomach. If you are referring to the Tyrannical, mass murdering god of the Bible, Certainly Not.
And we are in the magical world of "Whatif" once again. La la la la la .... Everything is fine and wonderful, God is great and God is good! Bla bla bla bla bla,
I'll make you a deal. You come up with a god that is worth "Worshiping" and we will all worship it. Do ya got one? Let's hear about it.
