I nose snorted out a whole mouthful of ginger beer when I read that....
Macintosh,
Which god of health do you wish you believed in?

What is it in belief in God that you think gives theists comfort?
These threads are littered with theists claiming their belief give them comfort, oughtn't you to ask them?
i don't get the idea of praying the same thing over and over again, asking the same thing everyday for more than 1 hour makes you feel comfortable and relieved. its a waste of time don't you think?
Why do you feel you have to pray the same thing over and over , asking the same thing for more than 1 hour? GODS not deaf or slow...
@MICK|: GODS not deaf or slow..
OR, he just don't fucking care about your prayers, either ways i don't really care.
and let me ask you how did you know that your god is not deaf or slow? did you talk to him personally? what did he say about it?
@MICK: Why do you feel you have to pray the same thing over and over
i don't know, you tell me,
JESUS is hope....that's better than any comfort we can get from the world. I have personally been through many trails in life and there is always hope with HIM in the corner. Just saying!!!!
If you really feel the need to embrace fantasy to get through the day - why not go for a fantasy that's more entertaining??
According to the Gospel of The Flying Spaghetti Monster - FSM heaven has a beer volcano and a stripper factory.
That certainly rates better than streets of gold and pearly gates - at least in my book.
.
Just making sure you know all your options.
