Having a debate, need some pointers

One of my friends says that Christianity is the true religion because there are so many videos online where people who are non-Christian see Jesus in dreams, NDEs, and through meditation. I was already aware about the NDEs but I looked up other videos and there are videos of Islamic people converting to Christianity because they apparently met with Jesus and he told them to convert. There are not really any videos of Christians meeting Muhammad in NDEs or anything like that. My question is, what is the best way to debunk this person's claim that Christianity is the only true religion if his argument is that there are so many instances where people see key figures prominent to Christianity, but never any figures that relate to other faiths? Just to add, there are also many videos I found of non-Christians who supposedly see hell in NDEs and in dreams.

Just a couple of points,

Just a couple of points, Pork222:

First, it's interesting that there are no videos showing Christians being converted to Islam after meeting Muhammed. That's probably because Islamist propagandists have a taboo on portraying images of Muhammed, while Christian propagandists don't have that problem.

Second, it's not surprising that non-Christians have dreams of hell during NDEs, since the concept of hell exists in many cultures. In the Japanese hell, for example, there's not much fire but a lot of needles, a kind of mincing machine, and a lake of blood. This variation in images of hell is further evidence that hell was dreamed up by people.

Third, on the Internet you can find not only proof of Christianity, but also proof of alien abductions, proof that America faked the Apollo moon landings, as well as talking dogs, time machines... The standard of proof on the Internet is pretty low.

Fourth, it's really easy to make videos these days. All you need is a mobile phone. So the Internet is about quantity of evidence, not quality.

There's no money to be made

There's no money to be made in Islam. A Muslim who saw Jesus and converted could make a mint in these times.

The evil Islamic Dictator

The evil Islamic Dictator Ossman had a dream that G-d said it was OK for him to go out and massacre anyone of other religions, same with Constantine, "go forth; conquer and to conquer," no joke that was the revelation which inspired him to start the Catholic Church- well that expolains a lot.
Point is they don't cite Ossmans dream as proof of Islam, how then are the dreams of some other crazy Muslims proof of Christianity?

(I just realized why CyberLN called Algebe for Algebra. Autocorrect.)

There is a gross overrepresentation of videos "proving" UFO's of all kinds, Ancient Alien astronauts and that humans where genetically engineered by them, that the Illuminati is secretly controlling the world, that alien reptile humanoids are here among us and controlling us. There are videos that "prove" that the Earth is flat and simultaneously there are videos that "prove" that the Earth is hollow. And so on, in absurdity.

There may be much more videos of people converting to Christianity than to Islam or people dreaming about Jesus than about Mohamed, I wouldn't know. But there is no shortage of videos and web pages claiming that Islam is the one true religion or giving "proof" for Allah to be the one true god.

A small humorous demonstration about how and why people fake such videos:

By asking oneself "How can one know what is true or not?", there is a lot to think about.
Is the answer, the amount of videos for a specific topic on youtube? No, it shouldn't be.

If you want to find something to confirm your beliefs as true, you can find it on the Internet. In the unlikely event that it isn't already there or you think there needs to be better "proof" available, you can make it yourself. And if you know how to, you can even make money by doing that.

In the videos that give "proof" for supernatural beliefs, the only "evidence" are the words that are coming out of peoples mouths. Those people can be fully convinced and believe what they believe because of dissociation, confabulation, projection, repression, displacement, rationalization and so on. They could be making fake videos to convince others or just to make money of gullible people.

In the cases where there is a bright light or something similar showing up, some immediately see Jesus or an Angel, while others watching the same video would see a Hindu god or proof of alien technology or even something as crazy as reflected sunlight.

You mean all those websites proving that Elvis is still alive aren't really true?

Well, Elvis was a disguised

Well, Elvis was a disguised reptilian humanoid from hollow Earth, but if he really is dead or not is hard to tell.

You know there a quite a few

You know there a quite a few people that stopped believing because when they had their NDE or became legally dead for a short time they saw nothing. Use sweeping arguments to counter sweeping arguments. Your friend is obviously not thinking their arguments through thoroughly. Very easy to come up with grand sweeping statements on the fly. Also I've found it hard to argue with people who have fundamental flaws in their logic. I ran into that the other day when someone was trying to tell me about how sexual addiction, then said it leads to rape. Which sort of blew my mind. No being a rapist makes you want to rape. Being a sex addict makes you want to have sex(the idea of sexual addiction is kinda ridiculous in the first place because it is only considered and addiction if you feel like it is) the two may overlap sometimes but reconciling that with him was pretty hard. You may just want to drop it. May cause some problems with your friendship. Just make sure to be polite when talking about this. Religion is a silly thing to ruin a friendship over if you get along in everything else.
