Human beings as property; where have I heard that before?
Egypt. Everyone knows the Jews were born into slavery in Egypt. The Bible says it right there in the Old Testerment.
If an omnipotent god has no qualms with knowingly inflicting pain, how do we know that such a god has no qualms about lying?
Not only does the OverLord lie; He has an alter ego called “The Evil One” who’s specific purpose in this world is to lie to us.

no. I know you didn’t mean it. If it had been Sheldon - that’s another story.
No. Oddly enough it’s my funny way of saying I’m not going anywhere. I borrowed it from the all powerful Evil One who pervades my thoughts. I say “Go away!” And He says “okay. Come on guys, let’s go.” All downcast and what not. Then “dumdy dum dum dum” - as he walks away with His head turned backwards. It’s one of his behavioural tropes. One of the many He has gathered over the 40,000 years that humans have been aware of Him.
