I have to say that I'm really

I have to say that I'm really not sure that CompelledUnbeliever is on the right side of the river ….. but that is an irrelevance….

in my opinion he is correct in labeling religion as an infection …… and I think I can identify the source in this pilgrims case ….

"Despite the reports from the fishermen claiming they had seen the tribespeople dragging Chau's body across the beach before burying it in the sand, his mother, Lynda Adams-Chau, told the Post that she believed he was still alive.

Asked why, ………... she answered, "My prayers."

…… and the ripples from this

…… and the ripples from this folly continue to spread ……

as Hitchens said "religion destroys everything"...

"Father blames 'extreme Christianity' for missionary son's death "

"The father of an American Christian, killed by a remote tribe on an isolated island he was looking to evangelise to, has criticised the "extreme Christianity" which pushed his child to a "not unexpected end".

watchman,

watchman,

"Father blames 'extreme Christianity' for missionary son's death "

A magic number of believers must be killed for the faith before Jesus returns. He insists on it. That guy could have been the magic number.

@Diotrephes …..

@Diotrephes …..

Yes , I know.....

But I'll wager this poor soul wasn't the magic number...as you put it...… in fact i'll wager there will be more deluded pilgrims ….. many many more …… (after all …..all the Abrahamic delusions are nothing but death cults.)

Another One! I hope this

Another One! I hope this guy was not as big an idiot as the last moron who drove his coconut boat into a tribe of known hostiles who opted to treat him like the unwanted pest he was.

NOPE OLD NEWS: I think

NOPE OLD NEWS: I think there could be a court case here, "Chau's death has courted debate across the world with suggestions mission organisations should think twice before sending evangelists into dangerous areas.

If the religious organization encouraged this venture in any verifiable way, financial support, transportation, etc.... can they not be held criminally liable for the death? If I can sue a bartender for not cutting me off and allowing me to get in a car, drive away, and kill someone, why can't a Church be held liable for sending someone to their death?

@Cognostic: why can't a Church be held liable for sending someone to their death?

More importantly, why can't they be held liable for sending disease carriers to preach their infectious gospel to isolated communities with no immunity?

Something occurred to me

Something occurred to me earlier today that I believe the dear and faithful Christians may be missing in regards to the death of their beloved missionary brother. Perhaps his death was God's way of telling them all, "Hey, you stupid fuckers! Leave those tribal people ALONE!" Wonder if they will listen to His words of wisdom?.... Hmmmm.... *scratching chin thoughtfully*....

All part of god's plan

All part of god's plan apparently. Should we pray?

Nah they were bringing the

Nah they were bringing the word of god to those that dont know of it.

Obviously the guy did not do a good enough job, and got killed, so I think more should try, 1 by 1. (dont send 2 or more because then it is invasion) eventually one of these missionaries will succeed. Or the supply of religidiots will run out. I am not sure either will ever happen though.
