Is Atheism a Way of Life or a series of Doctrines & Regulations? It is neither. Only one claim can be asserted: The Cosmos is godless ! It is not a logical conclusion. It is not a philosophical stance. And it is not a scientific claim. It is a Truthful utterance or dictum ["Saying"] that captures an aspect or feature of our Universe alone. I have included a chaste picture of male affection to illustrate the false notion that "gayness" is a life style choice not rooted in sexual instinct. The same holds true for atheists, generally.

What it is depends on whom you are asking. Perspective, John, perspective.
Why isn't atheism a logical conclusion? See my thread "Science Gives God The Bump!" (08/07/2016 18:47). If by a logical conclusion you mean a rational conclusion, then you are mistaken.
Atheism has nothing to with lifestyle as far as I'm concerned. My position, in the absence of any evidence--or even definition-- of a god, is that there is no god. That changes nothing about the way I live, except that I don't waste time in churches.
Why are you comparing atheism with sexual orientation? The picture you posted illustrates nothing except your tendency toward non sequiturs.
i would like to give an outside opinion if you will, i would think that atheism in the greek stands for without god belief, it professes naturalistic tendencies which science is used.
Had to read that a couple times. Innate. You mean innate. It isn't arrived at, learned, coerced or otherwise influenced to a state of reality. It just is and will always be man's natural assessment of himself.
Inquisitive, man is never without a nagging question about himself, his mere existence and why he even has the question nagging him at all. What is my purpose? I don't have one. All other questions about myself are rendered pointless without purpose.
Left alone, atheism is man's natural state of consciousness about himself. All the typically religious higher-order ascriptions must be taught to him.
Man's imagination takes him on a trip of fantasy so far away from his natural world that reality is thought and taught to be evil. Atheism is that evil, meaning, man fears his natural self.
@ Pitar. - I would Disagree. I do not think Innately we are atheistic. I would more likely argue that innately we crave divinity either to watch over us, to explain things we don't understand or something we want for ourselves.
Atheism is something that comes with maturity and learning.
I have to submit that not all atheists are skeptics who demand evidence before believing. As a teenager I befriended a guy in my neighborhood. His father was an atheist and he was simply an irritable old fart that disliked all preachers in a serious way. He did not like what Christians had done to his people and would tell door to door evangelists to fuck off. He never read Darwin. He could catch fish in a mud puddle and during season always got his deer. We had a lot of fun in the outdoors. When this man died he never asked for prayer. A cantankerous old heathen to the end. (One time I knocked on his door and he pretended not to see me. He grabbed a broom and started yelling "Snake! Snake! and whooped me with the broom to the end of the driveway. Crazy assed SOB)
Atheism is not a world view. It has no doctrines. It is not a way of life. It is nothing more or less than a position in connection with claims that god or gods exist.
