The worst argument for god I've read in quite a while. I've seen this guy's videos; he is terrible.
Certainly could not be bothered reading his book, but Nyarlathotep point is a good one.
Its a bit like saying "our sun is yellow" yellow is also the color of pee, therefore my god must exist.
As an atheist if you cannot easily and utterly demolish this guys rantings, you are not trying hard enough. It really all goes back to a simple truth. There is zero physical testable evidence for any god, all gods are utterly illogical, and we all have a far better answer, the science and the scientific discovery and learning we have made so far. Science which far outstrips any god in terms of proof, logic and reasoning.
What a dumbshit. Is this the best islam can do? Is this their best argument?

When people (not god) wrote the Quran, it had been known for around 1,000 years that the Earth was spherical. You can figure that out from the shape of the Earth's shadow on the Moon, from the way a ship's mast and sail are the first to appear over the horizon as it approaches, and various other logical means available in ancient times. This ancient knowledge reduces the odds of the Quran's authors choosing the wrong shape. Also, a triangular or hexagonal Earth would produce some peculiar horizons. Desert people and seafaring people would be very aware that the horizon looks like the edge of a circle.
Animals' bodies made of water: That should be especially obvious to people living in a desert. When things die they dry out, get lighter, and then turn to dust. There's no gold, or concrete, etc., remaining. Removal of water from the body was an essential part of the Egyptian mummification process. They used natron salt to do it.
Light from the Sun is hot. Light from the Moon is cold. Light from a candle is hot. Light from a candle's reflection in a mirror is cold. This is commonsense. It doesn't require a revelation from god.
I take the opposite view from Francis Bacon, as quoted by this Naik moron. I think I little knowledge of science leaves room to believe in the existence of god. But as your knowledge deepens, the gaps for god to hide in get smaller and smaller, until like the famous Oozlum bird, god disappears in a puff of smoke up his own arse.

This contains some of Dr Naiks' insights into Quranic teachings ....... some of which I fully recommend .....for instance Chapter eight covers zoology ,page 29..... highlighting the "fact" that the only reason that birds can fly is that Allah holds them up.
While page 31 details the "Lifestyle and Communications of Ants" .... which is truly astounding.....The good Doctor explains.....
"Research has shown that the animals or insects whose lifestyle is closest in resemblance to the lifestyle of human beings are the ants. This can be seen from the following findings regarding ants:
(a) The ants bury their dead in a manner similar to the humans.
(b) They have a sophisticated system of division of labour, whereby they have managers, supervisors, foremen, workers, etc.
(c) Once in a while they meet among themselves to have a ‘chat’.
(d) They have an advanced method of communication among themselves.
(e) They hold regular markets wherein they exchange goods.
(f) They store grains for long periods in winter and if the grain begins to bud, they cut the roots, as if they understand that if they leave it to grow, it will rot. If the grains stored by them get wet due to rains, they take these grains out into the sunlight to dry, and once these are dry, they take them back inside as though they know that humidity will cause development of root systems and thereafter rotting of the grain
I'm very much afraid that the gentleman is NOT a scientist...indeed he is so wrong on certain matters ,I'm not even sure he is a doctor....but he is overly prone to anthropomorphise his observations........(imposing human characteristics onto animal / insect behaviours while imputing human rational for said behaviours)
I would suggest that if you wish to debunk Dr Naik that you simply say that you overheard some ants chatting on their way to their market...and they said he is a complete "tosser".
@Asheer SHERMAN: A theory is a hypothesis about a given fact. I want to clarify it before answering.
I read the document, there's no theory or hypothesis in it, it just says the same thing any religious document would say about how true the Quram is, nothing more.

@ Asheer. There are plenty of people that come by on this forum and ask us to refute claims by such charletans, all the wile deeply believing. However I will trust that you are truly at odds and provide a refutation.
1. Dr Zakir Naik is an MBBS (Allopathic Doctor) from India who spent his life converting people or more accurately bullshitting on tv and amassing a fortune for himself. He is a fugitive and is wanted for questioning by the Indian government with alleged links to various terror outfits. At present he has been granted resident permits in Saudi Arabia and until recently planned to apply for citizenship to malaysia, but does not want to come back. He is a refugee hiding in intolerant Arabia and Malaysia (The Irony).
2. Everything he spouts in the Video is a fabrication, a lie. There are plenty of videos online correcting his false statements, most of them correct the scientific facts that he get wrong but there is a youtube channel called the masked arab who even exposes his lies when it comes to the quranic verses he spouts out of his mouth like dung.
some examples though ;
1. "Islam is a merciful religion, it gives equal rights to the women, it is not incompatible with logic, reason and science; if I present the correct facts about Islam, that non-Muslim may Inshallah accept Islam."
---> However Islam does not give "EQUAL" Rights to women. In Fact a woman is only worth half of a man. Islam is incompatible with logic, reason and sciences and the proof lies in all the scientific statements made by islam being proven false like the stars are stones being pelted on the demons, the sun rising and setting in a muddy spring so on and forth.
2. "If a new object or a machine, which no one in the world has ever seen or heard of before, is shown to an atheist or any person....."
--> my first question would be "what is it?" not who is the creator, the cherishr blah blah blah. I wouldn't wait to ask god how he made it or how it works. Is he telling me when men saw nature change they were instructed by god about water cycles etc. no. we figured that out by ourselves.
3. The light of the moon can be its own light or a reflected light. The Qur’an rightly says it is a reflected light.
--> This is a lie. the quran says it is "Noor" noor meaning light. nowhere in the quran is noor meant as reflected light or even lesser light.
