Ok I'll go back and visit Mother Teresa. She was a beautiful loving woman but she was really depressed. She cared for sickest people without the proper medicines and tools. I would want to give her all she needed and be her friend.

I completely disagree. I think she was horrid.

Two examples: She would deny pain meds saying suffering brought the patient closer to gawd. She received donations meant for her clinics that she instead sent to the Vatican.

I think Hitch said it best: she didn't love the poor, she loved poverty.

Millions in donations and not a penny for analgesics.

Yikes!

Yikes!
I imagined her more like this.
Mother Teresa lived a life committed to helping others. Among her many accomplishments were building a hospice center, as well as centers for blind and disabled people. She also established a leper colony. Her works of compassion were honored with a Nobel Prize in 1979.

She sure knew how to work the press. If you're interested, read the book Hitchens wrote about her. I think it was called "Missionary Position ".

I'll go back to the future with the aliens.
I just read about denying pain meds being under her order. My version of her was from a story I heard on NPR about a boy she took in and how she inspired him to become this brilliant millionaire. And I'm sure it has to do with my image of her as a child. Fuck. That sucks.

On second thought, I think I would go back as far as I could and put a penny in the very first bank and let it draw interest. Then I would return to my time and be a billionaire. (Idea from Douglas Adams 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy').

mykcob4,

mykcob4,

You would be as poor as you are now. The rule is that you have to maintain activity with your bank account. If there's no activity within a certain period (about 5 years) the account is considered to be abandoned. You lose all of your money.

Futurama did that in an episode. Fry left a savings account in 1999, and came back in 3012 to millions of dollars. Unfortunately, as you've shown, it's just a pointless deposit. But it was an adult cartoon, so no actions taken in the plot can be given any credence, of course. It was still funny.

It was 4.3 billion dollars,

It was 4.3 billion dollars, leaving 93 cents collecting at 2.25% interest for 1000 years. This is mathematically correct. (Ah the power of compound interest.)

Of Course there is a ...(billion?) other reasons why that would never actually happen, including what was mentioned above.

Also the US targets an inflation rate of 2% and it is often times above that. In 1000 years 93 cents to 4.3 billion dollars, the 4.3 billion dollars may end up buying less than 93 cents does in 1999, ...Not even a bottle of pepsi in many cases.

Ignoring body odor and the mix. I am a huge fan of Dynasty warriors which ties to the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. It'd be interesting seeing my favorite characters and witnessing what actually happen to them all. Yeah as you can see I'm not heroic in my desires. lol

I may be misstating the source but there is a quote from Isaac Asimov regarding this subject. Some one had stated that if time travel was possible we would be inundated with tourists from the future. Asimov replied : "That was the Sixties!".

Every time I go on a trip, I have a dilemma about what things to take with me. Sometimes I go overboard and then I think, why do you need so many things? But it’s good that it doesn't affect the comfort of travel in any way, since I always use AtoB Transfer services such as brussels airport transfer. This is necessary if you don't want to worry about how quickly you can find a taxi on the spot.

How can I address the emotional and financial impact of a delayed flight in my complaint letter to Jet2? Are there specific points that should be emphasized to convey the extent of the inconvenience?

Firstly, it's essential to convey the emotional toll of the experience. Begin by expressing your enthusiasm for the trip and highlight the excitement that turned into disappointment due to the delay. Describe the frustration and stress caused by the uncertainty of the situation, especially if it resulted in missed connections or important events. When discussing the financial impact, be specific and provide details of any additional expenses incurred due to the delay. This could include accommodation costs, missed activities, or any other out-of-pocket expenses directly attributable to the flight delay. This personal touch adds a human element to your complaint, helping the airline understand the real-life consequences of their service disruption. Moreover, consider incorporating facts and figures to strengthen your case. Mention the duration of the delay, any communication lapses, and how it deviated from the initially promised schedule. Attach relevant documents, such as receipts and booking confirmations, to substantiate your claims. In your letter, you may want to reference services like https://airadvisor.com/en/airline-complaints/jet-2 , which can assist in processing compensation claims for flight disruptions. Mentioning such platforms shows that you are well-informed about your rights as a passenger and adds a layer of credibility to your complaint. Remember to keep a calm and respectful tone throughout your letter. While expressing your dissatisfaction, maintain a constructive approach, emphasizing the desire for a fair resolution rather than a confrontational stance. In conclusion, a well-crafted complaint letter should blend the emotional impact of the delay with factual details and a neutral tone. By sharing your experience in a genuine and informative manner, you increase the likelihood of a satisfactory resolution with the airline.
