"If anyone can show me one example in the history of the world of a single spiritual person who has been able to show either empirically or logically the existence of a higher power with any consciousness or interest in the human race or ability to punish or reward humans for their moral choices or that there is any reason other than fear to believe in any version of an afterlife, I will give you my piano, one of my legs and my wife." - Tim Minchin

What a ridiculous statement. Sir Isaac Newton, often called the father of science, was by far the leading expert of his day when it came to ancient texts. He said that no other secular work of history compared to the Bible, and this remains true to this day. The Bible is the most accurate text of the history of mankind.
Atheists tend to think that it isn't because it reports some supernatural events. Secular history is full of mythology and legends, not to mention bias.
The Bible is the example you claim to look for. You keep you're piano, leg, and wife.

Here goes your logic for the existance of a higher power with conciousness and interest in the human race; we know a higher power exists because the creation of the universe and everything in it require an eternal, immaterial, and boundless power to cause them in the first place, and we know this power has an interest in the human race because it came to earth in human form, shared in all human suffering, was crucified and was risen on the third day of being in his tomb. No more empirical evidence is needed then the 4 gospels and the book of Acts. You might say you dont trust the bibles accuracy or that what is in it about Jesus isn't really true, but the gospels are just as reliable as any other historical document and in fact even more so then. For example, any writings we have of Alexander the Great were written hundreds of years after the fact, when no one who was alive at the time could corroborate or refute what was written. Whereas the gospels were each written at the very latest within 100 years of Jesus' life, and Acts, which contains the apostles creed and speaks on various witnesses who saw the risen Christ, including a group of over 500 people, can be dated to no more then 40 years after Jesus' life. The relative closeness of these documents to the actual life of Jesus, lend paramount credibility to their testimony, as people who were alive during His life would easily have been able to refute any false claims and Christianity would never have flourished and spread as it did.
The proof, as they say, is in the pudding. The tomb was empty, this is undisputed, either by the jews or the romans; and given all that I've here discussed, the only logical answer for an empty tomb, hundreds of witnesses to a risen Jesus, and a new global religious movement based on adoration and following of this risen Christ, is precisely the higher power we surmised earlier, one who is all powerful, yet still concerns himself with the human race
