What We've Done

Atheism is often perceived as a taboo subject, a subject that people refrain from discussing, whether in private or public. Despite the fact that Atheism raises valid questions related to religion and God(s), atheists fear being judged for what they believe in or do not believe in when in conversation with those who position themselves on the other end of the spectrum. In recent years however, atheism has grown more popular and people are curious to learn more about the subject now than ever before.

In keeping with this developing trend, Atheist Republic has been working diligently since 2011 to educate its visitors about Atheism, secularism, humanitarianism and related topics so every person who has a question also believes there is a way to find an answer. In the last three years, Atheist Republic has managed to reach thousands of people across the world and accomplish many of the goals it set out to.

If you follow us regularly, you probably already know what we have done so far. However, for those of you who are new to our website, here is a comprehensive list of everything Atheist Republic has achieved to date:

Blog: Our blog encourages writers from across the world to contribute their experiences and opinions related to Atheism as well as religion.

News: This section is updated with news articles on a daily basis to inform readers about all the mayhem that is carried out in the name of religion in different countries.

Forum: Our forum is a unique place on the internet that not only encourages atheists to interact with each other but also allows space for atheists and believers to engage in conversation and healthy debates.

Gallery: With a large collection of memes that spark debates and interesting graphics that educate people, our gallery keeps growing every day.

Resources: The resource section on Atheist Republic has information pertaining to books, documentaries, movies, and even parenting advice!

Here, we must mention how Atheist Republic is nearing one million fans every passing second, and with your support, we know we would be there in no time. Our private group on Facebook is known to be the most active atheist group online. Join us today and you can start interacting with each one of us!

With a management team of more than 50 members from different countries including Britain, Iran, Philippines, Canada, India, Pakistan, Germany and Ecuador, Atheist Republic urges you to join us in any capacity you deem fit. Upcoming Projects

Atheist Republic was set up in 2011 to not only educate more people about Atheism but also help non-believers feel at par with believers. In this short period, the website has managed to establish how the truth is not necessarily what the majority believes in, and how it has played a crucial role in encouraging people to pose questions that require logical thinking and scientific evidence to be answered.

As reiterated time and again, Atheist Republic has in fact accomplished a lot in the last three years but the journey seems to have only begun. Our growing team is highly aware of the scope and opportunity that lies beyond the website and each member is equally driven to contribute in his or her own capacity to ensure Atheist Republic reaches all the readers, listeners, and viewers it can.

For those of you who crave audio-visual communication, there is plenty to look forward to in the near future. With podcasts and video clips in the pipeline, Atheist Republic hopes to reach out to a much larger fan base than it already has. Our content, which primarily revolves around various concepts of Atheism and religion, will soon be available not only on iTunes but also on our exclusive YouTube channel. Keep an eye out for us!

For those of you who identify with our cause to such an extent that you wish you could interact with other atheists in person and spend some exciting time with them, Atheist Republic hopes to arrange events at Atheist Republic hubs in different locations across the world, with the help of its ever-growing managerial team.

Not to forget, additional features and even more interesting sections will be added to our much popular forums that are already up and functioning. The website also plans to expand and launch versions of its current self in Spanish and Arabic, so we are very welcoming of individuals who believe they will be able to help us do the same. I (personally) do not have anything against the person who chooses to believe in a deity, I only have a problem when the person wants to impose their beliefs on the next person. As long as the religious continue to force their beliefs into governmental institutions and all the umbrellas that govern all of us, I will have something to say. As long as children are indoctrinated at a tender age and forced to have their bodies strapped with explosives in the name of some idiots' fucked up beliefs, I will have something to say. I feel as if I have never been religious. My family is Christian, yet I grew up never fully believing. I was one who asked questions, and got no answers. Then I found out about Atheism, and was excited that there were other people who were the same as myself. I was raised in a very conservative Christian background – Jehovah's Witnesses to be specific. When I was about 17, I joined facebook like any other teenager but with an added twist. I had been doubting the religion of my family for quite some time. I grew up a Catholic, very superstitious and religious (still don't really get the difference) because I was raised that way. I thought God to be everything good, at least I wanted to believe that until I gazed into his supposed character inscribed in the bible. I came to realize that it was the worst character ever written in print I mean theists call him righteous but he is guilty of every sin against humanity. I still didn't want to accept this or more honestly, I was afraid of hell if I ever questioned his holiness..... I came to a partial settlement that God made men, and then men made religion. Sounds a bit logical but it still didn't add up. I then came across the argument of morality versus salvation by Dan Barker (President of the FRFF) and all my questions were answered. Felt good making sense out of my own beliefs for a while, but then there is this loneliness that haunts you, I wouldn't come out to anyone, I'm from Zimbabwe, a modern day medieval society; you have no idea, we still get stories of witchcraft in newspapers down here and the government is informally theocratic, a 91 year old dictator who has ruled for 35 years through democratic means because church leaders say God chose him, and yes, homosexuality will get you a 5 year jail sentence. The secular world is very alien down here and so I became a digital Atheist. Atheist Republic became my safe heaven and provided me with refuge from all the religious prejudice I have to put up with every single day. I think religion is an insult to humanity as it is based on an assumption that we are a mistake by God (Genesis 6:6-7) and only a human sacrifice of his son who we should embrace forever are we purified and through this barbaric concept of human sacrifice shall we escape God's wrath (John 3:16). Anyone is free to believe that crap but they poison children with bigotry and hatred building up religious prejudice, they believe their imaginary friend is in command of everyone's life and we all should be thankful for his grace despite his evil nature; how's that for an insult? Everything went wrong when religion hijacked morality and humanity which we Southern Africans called ubuntu before the European missionaries came with a bible in one hand and a gun in the other. The gun was better because if you live by the gun you die by it, it led to the fall of the apartheid and colonialism, but the bible still haunts the mentality of my fellow country men to this very day. I support Atheist Republic and I hope its impact and message would spread to places like Zimbabwe where the secular community is in hiding afraid of stigma.

I am from Zambia, the only country in the world where 'Christian Nation' is inscribed in the constitution and the President has vowed to rule by the 10 commandments, so the few Atheists here are forced underground. AR is the only place of refuge for me.

I have been living in a country that intoxicate the young with religious fanaticism. It is really hard to break your shell and live outside the cloak of ignorance imposed by the adults. When you say something against their belief, their eyes pierce your body like bullets and their words will strike you down like a sword.
