Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man -- living in the sky -- who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want You to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time! But He loves you.”

Good thing he loves us, I wouldn't want him to hate us or we'ed really be in trouble.
"And he needs money!"
I was just mentioning this in my last comment as go through this gallery backward. It is one of my favorite Quotes from George Carlin. I truly think he was one of the best comical minds this world has ever had and likely will ever had. I wish he were still alive so I could go to one of his shows. this was taken from what is definitely one his best routines, he mentions praying to the Sun and Joe Pesci in it the guy was a comical mastermind his jokes were all original and true, I don't know if we will ever have someone as great at what he did to take his place.
That said people are always asking why would a god send you to a place like Hell if he loves you, many theist argue that he wouldn't and that all fine and good if you don't look to the bible Old or New as proof of your god. Because the god that book mentions sure as hell, which we can never be too sure about but still, would send you there and it makes this very clear.People all the time talk about how this or that group of Christians are not real Christians but then reffer to the bible as a book written by people guided by the hand of God the same is said for the Quran and this has got to be one of the most ridiculous claims I have ever heard. they get their base interpretation from the same source.
I always thought it was funny how the only part in the bible that mentions God writing something himself was when Moses goes up the mountain and gets the 10 Commandments it took him a long time and the people at the bottom of the mountain made a golden calf ect.. the only thing ever carved by Moses, I mean written by god was then thrown at the earth where an earthquake formed and swallowed the golden calf and those who would not follow the burning bush destroying the only thing ever written by god right after it was delivered to the people along with any evidence it was not written by God. Its a good thing it took god so long to make them that the 10 rules and hopefully none were forgotten were ingrained into Moses head so he could tell us what they said.
