I have been told that there are no such thing as atheists, and god must want me to think I'm an atheist for reasons which remain unexplained. (?!)  I have also been told that what I should do (by people who suppose that religion would be good for me, or people who think I must be "searching" for god in my life) is to PRAY for god to reveal himself to me. Now THAT'S an oxymoron! They cannot see how insulting it is for me to be told that, in essence, I'm wrong and they're right, how insulting it is for them to assume that I've never really thought this through, and that they know better than I do about how I should think.
