When I found myself supporting things harmful and not beneficial, Hating others who were different and tolerating no one that had different views than my own, I realized that something was very wrong. I started hating peaceful presidents and started glorifying the war mongering ones. I was all about glorifying America and draping the flag over Jesus. I found myself agreeing with Paul and shutting up Jesus by putting him on a shelf. It was when I realized that I was becoming a religious asshole when I stepped down and returned to the compassionate and helpful and giving and reliable friend that I was known to be and then I stopped judging others and became a better person. It was only while being a Christian that I found myself surrounded by and being an asshole.
