Every year at the SSA Annual Conference, hundreds of secular students and community leaders gather to share ideas and learn from each other. Unlike many conferences in the secular movement, SSA Con’s primary goal is to train student leaders and activists from across the United States in grassroots organizing and leadership skills. There are several key ways we make this possible.

The entire premise of secularism promoting activism is without the intelligence quotient found in an amoeba.
Simply understand that one does not have to be a part of a club, society, movement, organization or any other coping mechanism to be secular. It does not require inner strength or outward support systems like religions, which atheism and secularism are rapidly beginning to closely mimic. It requires less, not more thought, and no effort or action whatsoever.
Inwardly declaring secularism or atheism is the last thought that should be had on the entire subject. Otherwise, a person's belief is no one's business. If it means complying with the popular cultural belief system at large to thwart repercussions then that's the order of the day. Deal with it by outwardly faking compliance or get out of that situation. Organizing into an opposition faction is a dangerous anti-theism undertaking and militant by virtue of being in opposition.
Please remain aware that the same human penchant for deceit that originally scared the ignorant masses into god-fearing belief systems (businesses for profit) is at work once again under the banners of secularism and atheism. Symposiums and events, books, memberships to movements, clubs, organizations, etc, where fees or donations are solicited are profit motivated to expense the further actioning of the "cause", which is a study of ignorance-bred irony at best, if truth is important enough to ferret out.
If there was no money to be had, all organizations, movements, speakers and authors would disappear quickly. They always do. I'll probably be hushed as well because those same "entities" provide support to sites like this one.
Don't get fooled again.

Neither is it precluded.
