world views questions

Hello my name is chance and this is my first time on the discussion board. I am a student in a christian college studying apologetics. I have a homework assignment on world views. I need 4 participants to answer seven short questions about their world views. I would appreciate if you would share your views on creation and purpose of life and so on. I will list the seven question below and you can see if you would like to participate or not. If so you can email me your response to the questions with your name and a brief synopis on who you are, where your from, and what you do.

question 1- How do you describe the origin of the human race and the world?
question 2- who are "we" as the human race? Are we an accident? Do we have intrinsic value?
question 3- What is the meaning and purpose of life?
question 4- Where does the idea of right and wrong come from?
question 5- what do you think happens to people after they die? Do you believe in heaven and hell? Who decides or how does one get t heaven verses hell?
question 6- what is your opinion of christians in general?
question 7- If a christian were to sit down and talk with you about their faith, what would it take to convince you that it was worth looking into or accepting.

If you are interested in participating in this email me at lesterchance191@gmail.com thank you

1) How life originated on

1) How life originated on earth is still unknown. The Earth is thought to have been formed about 4.6 billion years ago by collisions in the giant disc-shaped cloud of material that also formed the Sun due to gravity.
2)" Modern humans (Homo sapiens or Homo sapiens sapiens) are the only extant members of the hominin clade, a branch of great apes characterized by erect posture and bipedal locomotion; manual dexterity and increased tool use; and a general trend toward larger, more complex brains and societies."
An occurrence can only be called an "accident" in contexts that order and purpose were otherwise the norm, so it is meaningless to apply the term "accident" to the universe unless we had a priori expected order and design. It also assumes that their was a designer to make said "accident"
3) The meaning of my life is to give it meaning. Their is no reason to consider if life has purpose unless you believe you were designed by something for a purpose.
4) From my brain and millions of years of human social interactions.
5) People decompose after they die.
6) That they are Christian.
7) They or their god would have to directly make its existence known. That would get me to believe it exists but that would not make follow that god by choice.

question 1- How do you

question 1- How do you describe the origin of the human race and the world?
Strange origin indeed.
We practically know nothing of how it happened.
We are still dwelling with just pieces of information there and there.
The current hypothesis says that because 2 types of Prokaryotic bacteria appear at the same point in time on earth then one must have come from a meteorite or from space.
As for human origin, we do not know yet, there are only hypothesis for now.

question 2- who are "we" as the human race? Are we an accident? Do we have intrinsic value?
We say that we don't know yet.
We are currently around 200 000 years old and our DNA changed drastically before that date, in a way that we could not trace it back further.
So no, we are not ancient but we are repetitively young, brand new.
If we are an accident or not, is unknown yet. depends on your meaning of accident.
We simply do not have enough evidence for a conclusion for that question.

question 3- What is the meaning and purpose of life?
Just like all the other species we strive to survive and enjoy living.
Knowledge seems to be the closest answer for meaning of life for intelligent humans.

question 4- Where does the idea of right and wrong come from?
It comes from a continuous understanding of reality and not an assertion of authority.

question 5- what do you think happens to people after they die? Do you believe in heaven and hell? Who decides or how does one get t heaven verses hell?
We do not know what happens after we die.
As far as we know, our body atoms change into something else.
Heaven and hell is a human invention, there is no reason to believe such nonsense since no evidence was ever presented for those absurd claims.

question 6- what is your opinion of Christians in general?
Deluded individuals, mostly brainwashed from birth and reinforced brainwashing every week to reinforce dogmatic view even if they are unreasonable.
Christians are people which refute reason and logic to believe without doubt a human claim.
For this reason they tend to be hypocrites with themselves and others.

question 7- If a christian were to sit down and talk with you about their faith, what would it take to convince you that it was worth looking into or accepting.
This theist must be open minded and use his critical thinking and not only talk with me about their faith.
Since there is no definition of god, I will call him superior being.
There are several questions to contradictions here that a theist must answer before one considers to take him seriously.
This theist has to bring logic to the table and explain why his all mighty superior being hates him so much to humiliate him in this manner?
That his superior being(god) gives him a book filled with mistakes and contradiction as a guidance is in itself an action of hate or incredible stupidity.
A father that wants obedience without ever showing his face or be there to guide is not a loving father.
He is so incompetent that needs other human people with their mistakes to convince unbelievers.
Why can't a loving superior being show himself to his own son(me)?
Why do I have to believe what an other human person tells me about him?
This superior being himself has to prove to me that he is worthy of my time.
I do not want to worship someone that doesn't even want to talk to me directly.
Even if he does talk to me directly, it does not mean that I will worship him either, he has to prove to me that he is a superior being and that he needs worship for some very important reason.
The idea of worship in itself makes no sens to me, why does this superior being need worship at all?
Why does he need us in this life time?
Don't we have eternity with him after this lifetime?
Hell?, no loving father would send his children to hell no matter the crime, why would GOD?
Do not say test us in this life time, because if he knows everything, there is nothing to test.
Such action of hate is unacceptable, if this superior being is treating us like lab rats to test us, he is pure evil and deserves to be destroyed not worshiped.

Too many questions but if I will have to answer them, just take my opinion from a normal Christian faith. If you know the bible, I do believe on what are written on the bible and all my answers will be based from it.

I will answer some of your questions, but not by EMail. but first I have a simple question: Is it passdible youn spell your name CHANTZ, and dfid you live in Wisconsin 6 years ago. Now your questions.

1. two posibilities. Via the emoeba, and trasnsplated by alien beings

2., 3, and 4, NO Comment

5. I believe that the life force/spark/soul departs the body and joins a mass mentality in an alternative world/universe coexisting with this one.---and as the imagination is a part, it can provide an absolute heaven.

6. I feel towards any religionthat itis a matter of each his or her own naturally asd I believe otherwise, I think they are incorrectin their thinking. BUT reference Christians themselves I with many of them would be much more christian (adj) in actions and attitude.

7. Virtually nothing. It took me 85 years to get to my present beliefs, and except for minor details, nothing is going to change me now.

BUT THANKS FOR ASKING

It is unfortunate that you

It is unfortunate that you are studying "Christian apologetics", since as far as i can tell from my own experiences, that just means "lying for Jesus".

1) How do you describe the origin of the human race and the world?
Common descent seems to work well for the human race. As for the planet, gravity and stellar nucleosynthesis seem to work well.

2) who are "we" as the human race? Are we an accident?
probably
Do we have intrinsic value?
probably not

3) What is the meaning and purpose of life?
probably no meaning other than what people assign it.

4)- Where does the idea of right and wrong come from?
society

5)- what do you think happens to people after they die?
wormfood
Do you believe in heaven and hell?
no

6)- what is your opinion of christians in general?
no crazier than any other religious group

7) If a christian were to sit down and talk with you about their faith, what would it take to convince you that it was worth looking into or accepting.
Would take a lot more than faith to convince me.

I'll answer # 7 only. I was a Christian and I already know what are the things that they will going to say to me so I won't waste time talking to them about religion or god, maybe we can talk about business instead.

1- How do you describe the

1- How do you describe the origin of the human race and the world?

Here I would like to mention a few verses from the Holy Quran that address this subject.

"Oh humankind! We created you from a single pair of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, so that you may know each other (not that ye may despise each other). Verily the most honoured among you in the sight of Allah is the who is the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things)" (49:13).

The life of human beings began with the creation of two people, a male and a female named Adam and Hawwa (Eve).

2- who are "we" as the human race? Are we an accident? Do we have intrinsic value?

We the Human Race are very special who has been bestowed by INTELLIGENCE , unique life that was created by God[Allah in Arabic] with many unique gifts unlike other

Example- knowledge, free will and conscience

We are superior because all the the creation serves us. The All-knowing Created the inferior Creation to serve the superior creation

He says, “We have created man in the best make.” (The Fig, 95:04)

3- What is the meaning and purpose of life?

For a disbeliever the purpose of this life is run towards wealth, money, power and position. Are we here for Drinking, drugs, gambling .

What's Next? Everything will end one day. What is the purpose of it..???

The purpose of our life is to worship the God. Worshiping means Believing in one God, following commands.By worshiping him we will succeed in both this life and the Next Life.

This life is a preparation for the hereafter – the ‘Eternal Home’ – to which all human beings ultimately go.we have also commanded by God to seek knowledge because the more knowledge you seek the more we understand The God’s wisdom behind our creation.

God says, “Whoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as partner.” (The Cave, 18:110)

4- Where does the idea of right and wrong come from?

Religion is important in one’s life because Religion can only teach us what is the difference between right and wrong, ugly and beautiful but the Religion which we are following is important. Islam is the true religion because it ask us to enjoy good and forbid evil or wrong.

5- what do you think happens to people after they die? Do you believe in heaven and hell? Who decides or how does one get t heaven verses hell?

As for Muslims, life which is temporary is considered as an examination , the death stage is considered as a rest after the examination . The rest could be easy for the one who is faithful and obedient to God AND the rest could be very horrible for the wicked

Yes, I believe in heaven and hell. God will resurrect us on the day of judgement with equal justice and reward or punish us according to our own deeds God has given us an unique gift which is free will so that we make a choice between right and wrong.

6- what is your opinion of Christians in general?
Christians and Muslims have several common things . God sent the prophets like Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and many more( peace be upon them ) to address the people to believe in One god .Jesus, peace be upon him came with same message but they started worshiping Jesus instead of following. Unlike other human beings the Christians also started worshiping creation. Jesus, peace be upon him was the creation of God.

7- If a christian were to sit down and talk with you about their faith, what would it take to convince you that it was worth looking into or accepting.

If any Christian were to sit down talking about their faith

Firstly I would like to ask them are they true followers of Jesus, peace be upon Him??
Why they think that Jesus is the son of God .

This similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam: He created him from dust then said to him: "Be" and he was.[Noble Qur’an]
Jesus, peace be upon him was the true follower of God

Jesus is Not son of God: “The Christians call Christ the son of God. That is a saying from their mouth. (In this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of the old used to say…how they are deluded away from the Truth.” (9:30)

Not God: “They do blaspheme who say “God is Christ, the son of Mary.” But said Christ: “O Children of Israel! Worship God, my Lord and your Lord.” (5:75).

No Trinity: “They do blaspheme who say: “God is one of three in a Trinity”: For there is no God except One God.” (5:76)

God does not need a partner to assist Him. He need not appear as human being to experience human life or to sacrifice himself to save human beings from Hell, for God is Self-Sufficient. All-knowing, Most Powerful, Most Compassionate, etc.
