My grandfather told me that when he was 25, he was still single. He was religious, and said that he was upset because all of the young men in his village had already married and had children. He said that he was contemplating becoming a priest, when he had a dream that said he has a son waiting for him. Apparently Jesus told him this. Then he said three years later to that day his first son was born. Do you believe this is just a coincidence, or do you believe it may have actually been Jesus?

"Do you believe this is just a coincidence"
YES.
" or do you believe it may have actually been Jesus?"
NO
If you see merit in this story then, perhaps, you should believe hundreds of other stories that are told around the world in behalf of countless religions. If you reject the stories told by an American Indian, or by a member of an obscure Muslim sect in Iraq, or by a member of an African tribe, or by an Australian Aborigine, then you should reject this story as well.
Why do you ask me to comment on something when no evidence at all is available? You might just as well ask me to comment on a story by an Australian Aborigine.
50-50 % odds you will have a son ! Percentage of odds that Jesus talks to you - 0%
His own hormones were telling him to not become a eunuch for an invisible sky fairy.
Nonsense!
You are talking about someone who was worried about not being able to get married and have children (most likely he wanted a son). A person who was already religious and probably was praying to God / Jesus to help him find a wife to marry and that he would get children / a son. Then in his sleep he has a dream that he would get a son.
It's not at all strange that a person with a strong desire to have children, who is constantly worring about it, would also dream about it.
It's highly likely that a religious person would frame such a dream within the context of that religion. It wasn't Shiva who delivered the message, nor poseidon or Muhammed.
People do this kind of thing all the time. Re-frame or re-interpret memories and dreams, confabulate, etc...
And people from every other religion has the same kind of stories, as do people who are in to New Age mysticism, Wicca, or just think they have some paranormal abilities.
It's quite telling that this is something that is common within the human psyche, not something that only happens within the one true religion.
Jesus talked to him? Jesus, I would like to see the proof that this statement is true.
I had a dream that I was a passenger in a car. I looked over and the saw that the driver was an animated corpse. I woke up startled just as he drove us off a cliff. Does this mean that during the Zombie Apocalypse the dead will be Uber drivers?
The important question is how much should you tip a zombie Uber driver?
It would not be that hard to stiff them.
It's possible your grandfather had a dream about Jesus or whatever. He just allowed his imagination to fill in the gaps to make it more compelling. I did the same kind of shit as a christian young man. The problem is that now when I tell people I'm an atheist they say "well what about the time that God talked to you when you were 17?". It's uncomfortable to tell them that I just really wanted God to talk to me, but it never actually happened. Then inevitably, they say something like, "Well I saw an image of Christ on a mountain" and I feel compelled to tell them that they in fact had not.
