@Fievel
The important question here is, "Do you have an ample supply of snackage readily available?" You definitely do not want to go to the store in your condition.
https://youtu.be/fPYf7hcZ740
Several questions:
1. High on what?
2. Is answer to (1) in a legal jurisdiction?
3. Tin already asked, but snack availability is crucial
4. Tunes!, what is on the turntable?
@Fievel
How many lava lamps do you own?... (Be honest.)
Hear about that guy who drank a lava lamp?
On a side-side note: that youtube channel in my link is pretty good, imo. At least the emergency-room/medical ones.
@Tin-Man
"How many lava lamps do you own?... (Be honest.)"
Currently I own none.
Should have said on Cannabis.
"Should have said on Cannabis."
So you were too high to remember, so what?
C'mon already, snacks and tunes, I need to know! I want the experience vicariously.
@Fievel
DO NOT DRINK FROM THE LAVA LAMPS! Those little blobs in there are NOT jello shots.
Edit to add: Thanks for reminding me, Nyar.
"Those little blobs in there are NOT jello shots"
Thanks Tin for the PSA, that is important advise for all who light up.
@NewSkeptic Re: "Thanks Tin for the PSA, that is important advise for all who light up."
... *shrugging shoulders*... Hey, I do what I can to help promote better toking safety. Oh, and good call on asking about the tunes. Curious about that myself. Also, is he using blacklights or strobes? Or a combination? And he must have at least one or two Grateful Dead and Scooby Doo posters hanging around the place.
"Oh, and good call on asking about the tunes."
Yeah, he's not answering, but I can speculate.
Of course, "Dark Side of the Moon" is an obvious choice, but never seems old under the influence. I like to add some Alan Parsons, "I Robot" or "Pyramid" both set the mood. Yes's "Fragile" is good too, although the change in moods can negatively affect the buzz. If you are sharing with others, then yes, some "Dead" can do you right. If it's a particularly intense buzz and you really want to go for it, try the Beatles "Revolution 9" or Pink Floyd's early "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict" (yes that's the title). Especially the latter will take you to places you didn't know existed.
If you are of a Jazzier persuasion, I'd recommend Miles' "Kind of Blue" or Coltrane's "A Love Supreme", the latter particularly appropriate for our theist friends who like to imbibe on God's natural vegetation.
Opinions?
@ New Skeptic
And let us not forget the Moody Blues.
@DK Re:Moody Blues
No complaint there, really any of the first seven albums.
@Tin-Man
No I don't believe you are suppose to be drinking that stuff.
I do drink beer though, Icehouse or Natural Ice. They are cheap beers.

I also partake in Marijuana, (hey I am a millennial that lives in Colorado.) I feel like at this point if I did not partake I would be in minority around here ;)
Watch out for that alcohol+thc combo punch, they both punch above their weight when you combine them.
The tech has improved so much that if done right, pot has almost zero harm at least physically. Obviously operating heavy machinery like a car is a very bad idea, but beyond that, finally a drug with few negative side effects if taken properly.
@Logic,
Legal here in MI now as well, although the roll-out (no pun intended) process has been slow and there are no local dispensaries currently. So, for now, I have not made the hour drive.
Did partake in Ottawa on vacation last year. There it is legal to light up anywhere you can smoke cigarettes. It felt very odd, there were several groups imbibing outside the shop with a group of police officers standing about 100 feet away. Times have changed.
@NewSkeptic
Yeah in Colorado it is the same, anywhere someone is allowed to light up cig's people can smoke/vape/inhale pot. I did not smoke/ingest pot before it was legalized in Colorado, so that part did not feel weird for me.
What was weird for me was realizing, in small amounts, taking it with me to travel by air, (within the country,) was basically risk free. Yeah Marijuana even in small amounts is a "no no" at airports, but it is impossible at this point for them to even check for it at Denver International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world.
Dogs? Nope, impossible. (This is becoming increasingly true across the entire country.)
Security screening? Nope, impossible, (unless someone was dumb enough to try to smuggle way more than an ounce equivalent.)
And now that many folks know the above, it is even more impossible for them to check for marijuana.
Cat is out of the bag, pandora's box been opened, especially with California going recreational. Closing it at this point would be political suicide. Even former Vice president Joe Biden knows this, walking back earlier statements of trying to crack down on pot.
I do not own, nor ever have owned, nor have ever ingested any contents of any lava lamp. That I can happily deal with.
My cardiologist has suggested if I Bogarted a joint (very possible as I have a history of being quite greedy in that regard) it would be tantamount to suicide. This I am less happy with.
Boasts of being delightfully high just make me jealous and make me want to crap on your head and on your spliff before squawking raucously as I fly away. *sigh*

One word. Edibles.
Edibles.
Great word!
This has the distinction of being both one of my favourite words and obsessions.
As I don't smoke, drink or indulge in recreational drugs any more, Edibles are the last of the Seven Deadly Sins I can still partake of as long as it is organic, fat reduced, with no added sugar or salt, preservative and colouring free which generally means 'bland' . Sometimes it can suck to live healthily. I cant wait to die.
All my experiences - which stopped after I kept having them - paranoid, nausea, time-distortion, brain-yelling, throat burning/dry as a desert “fuck, when is this ending?!?!”
We’re legal here. Do edibles make a difference or am I just “allergic?”
@ Whitefire
How educated are you on the different types of pot and the various effects? Maybe because I live in the big city and have the option of going to different stores and selecting different products, but I easily tailor the pot to my needs. And I lean lot on leafy.ca for reviews and education.

Thanks David
@ Whitefire13
You are very welcome.
I vape, and 1) it is a lot less harmful, 2) a lot more efficient, and 3) I can control how the pot reacts by controlling the temperature. I also have different length stems (and even a water pipe adapter) for my portable so I can control the temperatures and harshness.
We have come a long way from my early days, where I bought a bag of sticks, leaves, and seeds from some strange dude, and had no idea on it's potency and side effects.
Be an informed consumer.
And one more very important thing guys. Never, never get behind the wheel if you are not clean and sober.
I could handle going to jail, but if I injured or killed a child (or anyone), because of my stupidity, it would haunt me for every remaining second of my miserable life.
I sim race a lot, and since it is safe, sometimes I partake. The worst that could happen is I fall out of my chair.
Early on in my sim racing career I was doing some intense practice for a big upcoming race. I took a break, and drank just one beer. I got back on my rig and proceeded to do laps. But I was no longer consistent. Every three or four laps (on average) I would make a tiny error and it was reflected in my lap times. Not much, but the numbers verified my condition.
The point is that although I was miles away from being illegally impaired, just a wee bit DOES IMPAIR YOUR ABILITY.
Every sip of alcohol, or every toke takes you one step further away from proper control.

@David K. Re: Driving sim
Holy SHIT! I wish I had a flight simulator setup like that! Wow!
@Thread
I want to 2nd David Killen's post. Very useful and informative stuff, I even copied the chart, as that is useful for me.
And add extra bit: There was recently a lot of talk in USA about vaping illness, mostly centered around pot. This is NOT the same kind of vaping that David was talking about.
This is pens, and for the folks that got sick, almost always blackmarket, and/or ordered online. These are bad, and should be avoided. I get that they are highly convenient, but this is not the way to "vape." I strongly recommend against vaping (via pen) pot. They use a THC concentrate, that is cut with stuff to make more smoke, and give it the proper "look." It also "burns the thc concentrated oil."
The proper way to vape is, to vape the flower, (not! thc concentrated oil.) And if you can afford it, go for the organic stuff where they minimize/eliminate pesticide use. Vaping flower with a temperature controllable device is also very efficent. 1 ounce of flower, will last an individual many months of once daily use. The better devices for this are a bit expensive, (I cannot recommend Storz & Bickel products enough,) but after the initial upfront cost, you save quite a bit of money long run, but more importantly you protect your all important lung health.
Also, vaping the flower, gets you the "full" high. As in you get all the other stuff in the flower.
For instance: concentrated THC oil, actually cuts out a lot of the other stuff, reducing cbd and 1000's other components. For some folks, you get all the paranoia THC gives, but none of the calming effects cbd and all the other ones give.
As someone that has lived in colorado for a while and had access to a wide variety of different pot products, nothing compares to lightly vaping good bud. If you feel even the slightest urge to cough (and you are healthy) after taking a vape from a good vaporizer, you are doing it wrong. It should be as easy as breathing in regular air, unless your lungs/throat is compromised somehow. You also should NOT notice large clouds of smoke/vapor. (Unless you stepped outside to cold/dry.)
Which one makes you eat cookie dough?
@ Nylarathotep
Critical Kush, a hybrid, but predominantly indica. This is the king of munchies.
#2 Jack Herer
#3 Lavender
#4 Afghan Kush
#5 Mazar
When THC binds to the receptors in the brain, leptin and ghrelin (two hunger related hormones) are released.
Bananas are edible! And you can dry and smoke the peels. Completely organic but they taste like monkey shit!
