Terrorism has no religion?

It just started to trend everywhere. What do you all think?

There seems to be a rather

There seems to be a rather strong correlation between terrorism and Islam for the last two decades or so, that needs to be addressed because ignoring that relationship won't make it go away. It just needs to be done responsibly, with the utter denunciation of Sharia law and Islamist Jihad.

This terrorism by Islamic

This terrorism by Islamic State is a theologically based problem, that not only won't be solved working from a secular world view, but likely cannot be even effectively approached. http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2015/03/what-isis-really-wan...

Terrorism does not HAVE to be

Terrorism does not HAVE to be religious, but it's safe to say that the majority of terrorism in the past 70 years or so has been religious or Marxist based.

There is a bizarre tendency on the part of much of the political left (and the current US administration) to steadfastly refuse to acknowledge the elephant in the room by refusing to associate the word Islam with the obscene violence. In a surrealistic interview a few months back after some IS atrocities, State Department spokeswoman Marie Sharf avoided any reference to Islam, instead started talking about 'if they had jobs....' OK, sure. In fairness, I feel sorry for her, she's got to put out the party line and when that line is indefensible she becomes the laughingstock.

It's really odd, that many of the same political factions that don't hesitate to pile on the Catholic church, or Protestant fundamentalists suddenly get all sensitive about even the hint of Muslim violence.

Just an observation.....

Just an observation.....

Isn't it odd that although it is true that "Terrorism has no religion" most ,if not all religions have or have had terrorists acting in their name.

I suggest the reason for this

I suggest the reason for this is: sadly, terrorism works.

I think politics, not

I think politics, not religion, is the root of these terrorism acts. However, religion serves as a very effective tool for spreading terrorism because religious people are easily manipulated and indoctrinated through religious teachings that feed on both fears and hopes of people.
