Something we can all agree on

It's American football season. We can all join together as one, finally, and celebrate the Seahawks, together!!!! ;-).

I make it a point to avoid

I make it a point to avoid using the three most overworked words in the Englich slanguage: incredible, ultimate and celebrate. Actually, the word "like," as a pointless interjection tossed into every sentence (aye, twice or more sometimes), has become the most overworked of all.

Alas! for the good old days--when the family used to gather around the hearth and read from the thesaurus.

American football is for

American football is for sissies. Watch the November Grand Sumo tournament--a great sporting spectacle combined with the comedy of religious ritual. Will the legendary Hakuho return to the ring after his career-saving big toe surgery? Will Goeido win another tournament and earn promotion to the Grand Champion level despite his gambling scandal? Watch genuine giants hurl purifying salt at each other as they spend 10 minutes psyching up for a 30-second bout. See ground-shaking impacts between world-class athletes, many of whom weigh more than their cars. The wrestling ring is sacred ground where no female or shoe may tread. The referee is a Shinto priest. And the wrestlers' bodies, some of which have their own gravity fields and weather systems, are temples.

I am not a BIG fan of the NFL

I am not a BIG fan of the NFL or anything that is so overhyped. I do follow the Cowboys, although I despise Jerry Jones and actually hate Tony (interception) Romo. This year is quite fun for me as Daz Prescott is very talented and may displace Romo.
I am a fan of Russell Wilson, but as for the rest of the Seahawks and Pete Carroll, I really can't stand them. I even hate the modern color scheme. I like the traditional design, just not the dayglo green.
I can't stand the Patriots, but I don't see any team that will prevent them from winning the Superbowl!

Oh....I fear my tongue is permanently lodged in cheek....

Shame on me.

(But I do, sometimes, crack myself up if no one else.)

Haha.

Haha.
Well, I for one am a sports atheist. I don't believe it exists and I hate all sports, and I'm very angry about it! It also requires me to have a lot of faith, oh and no morals.

Hi Cyber,

Hi Cyber,

As a Falcons follower/occasional fan, I think you and I can agree that your team was very lucky to sneak out of last Sunday's game with a win.
