I am what you might call a deist of some sorts. I'm in a Skype group of mostly Christians and we're looking to add some atheists to gain diversity of thought. You see....Atheist Republic is international...we have members spread across the globe.....
I'm in Kentucky on eastern time. Our group is also international, but people tend to be active from about 8am-11pm eastern time.

Well it's certainly not self-promotion considering I don't own the group. And linking people to another space to engage in debate is not advertising. It's an invitation to debate. That's the point of this entire forum. I'm surprised that you haven't joined already seeing how confident you are in your atheism.
No you are suppose to debate HERE. Not promote another site.
Skype is not another site. It's an app that you can talk to people on. What makes you think you're only supposed to debate here? I think you'd be a great addition to the Skype group by the way. We need more atheists.
I know what Skype is. You are promoting to debate on another format and that is the gist of it. The OP is a violation of the forum rules plain and simple!
The rules never state anything about outsourcing debates to other media.
Semantics. You are promoting something. If you want to do so there are ways to do this on this site, but NOT on the debate forum. There is a place to promote books and in general, anything you want but it isn't here.
