Shocking

Just had a knock on the door a woman and her (I guess ) young daughter I am useless at ages of about 6, the mother said xxxxxxxx has something to give you, I thought it was about a school event or something but no it was a leaflet and on the front Jesus on the cross. Turns out they were having a rally, I did not want to upset the young child, so gave it back to the mother saying "I hate waste, so rather than throwing it away"
Using your child as an emotional blackmail is pretty shocking, luckily in the UK no one gives much attention to religion so good luck with the rally.

My bet......JW's ......

(Jehovah Witness') I've known them to bring their kids along...plus they have a penchant for pamphlets and the like.

Unlikely to be Mormons......they usually like to get their name (Church of Jesus Christ and Later Day Saints) into the conversation early.....(American marketing)..

It is really sad. I used to have a company that did church fundraisers. I thought it was a great idea to help the church. I realized it was all about marketing and thus manipulating others too spend their money. Did god really need me to manipulate others for him? Using children in this major is simply another marketing technique. I truly believe it is immoral. When influence is used for self serving evil purposes it's called manipulation. When it's used for good it's called encouragement, but the fine line is drawn by the beholder.

Meh, you'll have that. In southeast Asia they used toddlers with booby-trapped diapers to blow people up so using them to co-peddle ain't so bad,
