The Australian government pays proselytizing perverts and loons to mess with kids' minds in public schools.
I've heard some stupid things in my time, but this one really takes the cake.

And he -and the other Australian chaplains- are hungering for federal money, as the article explains.
Disgusting.
I swear to you, when I began my career in counseling I had a priest locked up. The father of a family in his congregation was molesting (everything) one of his girls. The family was forced into counseling as the son had been accused of molesting the same girl. They had spent 2 years in religious counseling. The priest had told them to pray and for the father to get a plastic blow up doll. The mother informed me that the doll worked most of the time. The priest and the father were jailed. That is all the police told me and I was unable to follow up on the case. The children were separated from the mom at that point as she was enabling the situation and did not have the common sense to get help for two years. I have no respect at all for Papal authority, the authority bestowed by the public on any priest, any father of a church or any minister. They lie to people, make their living by stealing from the poor, and any good they do is just tokenism to advertise to make more money.
Yep. An unpopular program across the wider electorate, is the school chaplaincy program, but it plays well to the old farts who are the Coalition's base.
Well this struck me as particularly funny...
"chaplains were "not permitted to proselytise".
Are are they doing there then? Wouldn't some sort of counsellor with relevant skills and qualifications be more apropos.
