Religion and Conservative politics

I am new to Atheist Republic so I don't know if the subject of religion and conservative politics has been discussed. There is no doubt that protestant Christians are mostly conservative in their politics. Further religious Christians mostly "vote" for republicans. Don't question these facts as they are indisputable. The reason for this post is not to argue these facts but to try to understand why born again Christians and most religious evangelists vote Republican. Why is this so???? It does confuse me..

Oh, Kenny, you are not new to

Oh, Kenny, you are not new to AR. This time you just changed your profile name instead of creating a whole new account. Getting lazy in your old age?

Oh god damn, if you are going to lie, at least make the effort to create a new profile. Doing it in such an incompetent way is just an insult.

CyberLN and Travis--I try to

CyberLN and Travis--I try to bring "interesting" subjects to this forum and are usually ignored probably because it is me and you think I am a troll or "you" don't like me even though I am a talented, creative, intelligent, perceptive, exciting, loveable, kind sensitive, and handsome and a good basket weaver. Despite my attempts to bring different interesting subjects to this forum I am ignored because you don't like me.. Worse than being ignored is your dismissal of 'Pithy" and provocative ideas. So I changed my name to blasphemy to try to get my voice heard. But I should have none better as it is not me your rejecting but your lack of understanding of "meaningful" and thoughtful ideas. But worse than that your passive, weak, nice, easy, lazy stupid conversation to "theist" who believe the earth is 10,000 years old or believe in the story of Noah's Arc, or the resurrection of Jesus Christ born from a virgin and the thousand other ridiculous, horrible, immoral, unbelievable, stupid ideas --makes me want to vomit.. You think it is "me"-...but it is not me--it's you. God Bless.... Have a nice day.....

It isn't that I ignore you because I don't like you, I usually ignore your posts because I don't find them either engaging or entertaining. It isn't me, it's you, you are an insufferable half-wit.

I actually appreciate this sentiment, even if it is less than sincere, considering my father died this morning.

"No No No No It is you not me--IT IS YOU---"you are a insufferable half wit,"

You sound like the five time divorcee blaming all of their exes, or the schizophrenic claiming it is just EVERYONE else that is crazy.

"God Bless"

Nope. I do not have the energy to even point this out.

"---Have a nice day...."

I am sure I wont.

I actually appreciate this

I actually appreciate this sentiment, even if it is less than sincere, considering my father died this morning.

I am sorry to hear that.

My sincere condolences;

A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on.
