It doesn't matter what god or gods you believe in or not, that isn't a problem. You can be a stupid as you want. You can believe in a giant purple cow if you want to. The problem is that god believers always want to force their belief on everyone else, to the point of death historically. They want to hijack the government, schools, holidays, patriotism, morality, revise history, substitute science with pseudo-science. They want to control not only the conduct of people but what they think. They want to redefine everything so it fits their narrative! That is the problem. And it's a BIG FUCKING PROBLEM!

And we need A BIG FUCKING ANSWER!
Mine is reason and humanist compassion. And a measure of humour.
To coexist with christians is to keep them in check and not let them usurp the Constitution!
let me ask a question ..
why do theist/religious people doesn't want to be rational or logical of their beliefs?
is it because of HELL?
I always ask American Christians what happened to the Roman Empire after the Christians took over. Answer? Within 150 years it was dead. And that is exactly what will happen to the U.S.
Internal fragmentation, politicking for personal gain, election of personality not national best interest policy. A rubber stamp Senate, corruption of the electoral process, over funded out of control military. The world has been there before.
Gibbons "Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" is a bloody long read but worthwhile. Also a read of Catullus' speeches in the senate are eye opening, jaw droppingly relevant. They could (SHOULD BE) have been delivered by a politician today.
The hatred of Christianity towards all non-believers is certainly a very serious issue. Christians who insist on putting prayer in a classroom or teaching Creationism are only spreading ignorance and hatred. After all, anyone who does not believe as they believe will burn in hell/ Christianity is a sick, amoral, and hate based religion.
Cognostic,
Historically in American it has always been the Protestants who have wanted to put the Bible in the public schools. The Catholics have always been against it. They didn't want the ignorant Protestants screwing it up so they taught it in their own Catholic schools. There were some major fights about it in the late 19th Century.
