As to the bullying rule - challenging ideas is welcomed. Disagreement is fine. However, attacking someone personally will not be tolerated.

So posting a website that is

So posting a website that is filled with horrible pictures and filled with blatant lies is okay. So proselytizing and not engaging in the issue of the thread is okay. Got it!

That's covered by "8.No links to gory pictures or harmful websites" isn't it?

As for proselytizing and going off topic, we can either shoot them down or ignore them. I doubt whether the Jesus freaks even read the rules before posting their blather anyway.

Actually, it is guideline 10.

Actually, it is guideline 10. As for proselytizing that is covered by guideline 1 because posting off topic for the purpose of inciting discourse is trolling by definition.

Soooooo.... Ummmm... Is it

Soooooo.... Ummmm... Is it still permissible to smack Myk on the ass with a wet towel in the locker room, or maybe put a stick through the spokes of Old Man's tricycle as he rides by? Uh, asking for a friend. *halo above head*

I have to take ownership for

I have to take ownership for my actions. IMO this gentle reminder by CyberLN was prompted by my going over the line and breaking one of the forum guidelines.

I wish to apologize to the admins of this web site (especially CyberLN) and all the members for my mistake. I did wrong, something I regret and will make every effort never to repeat.

Wasn't just you, buddy. Pretty sure I had a hand or two in it myself. I often have a tendency to allow my sarcasm to get the better of me and I end up taking a few reflex pot-shots at folks here and there. Gonna have to work on reining myself in a bit and make a conscious effort to think after I type. My apologies to the mods, as I have no desire to place any of you in an uncomfortable position.

It wasn't a rule when you did it, but it should have been. Your actions have cause the forums to be improved, imo. No need for an apology!

My only concern is what is

My only concern is what is good for the AR forums. Sometimes this requires reminders. Sometimes it requires blocking an account. I take no pleasure in doing the latter but have and will if I think someone has crossed a fatal line or continually disregards warnings and reminders.

Challenging ideas is the purpose of a debate forum, not personal attacks. Purposefully driving people away simply because they have differing ideas is contrary to the objective of debate.

I am new here and although,

I am new here and although, in principle I understand the rules, the tolerance for others who are here with obviously no interest in what anyone has to say but only in pushing their religion on others is off-putting.

If I wanted to be a part of an Islam education and tolerance program, I'd join an Islam community. I get a warning for suggesting closed minded troll goes elsewhere but they are allowed to preach adnautium without comment?

I want to be here, but I'm happy to find a group more kind to those like me who say what is right and isn't afraid to call it out like it is.

It seems to me some threads are more of an Islam support group than an atheist republic? Help me see why this has value to me, an atheist, please?
