The following is a quote from the description of this Debate Forum:
"Just remember to be respectful to all users since every individual is entitled to his or her own beliefs. Besides, you only stand to gain when you can engage with another in a comprehensible conversation. As most wise people are believed to have said, war was never the means for peace."
Debate is fine, telling people to go away because one doesn't agree with them is not. Banning folks is not the first choice. Folks will, however, be banned if they engage in continued blatant disrespect. Folks will be banned for blatantly violating the forum rules. It's pretty simple...if you think another's posts or replies are not worth reading, ignore that post / reply. If you don't like reading an opposing view, instead of telling the poster to leave, don't read it.

Thank You , CyberLN.
I assume you have the power to ban. SOBEIT.
If one follows the forum rules should they expect to be banned because you just don't like what they have posted or the manner that they posted it?
I see bullshit and I pointed out, my guess is that that is what you are getting at.
Sarcasm, satire and even profanity are not a violation of the forum rules. If I post "fuck that" in response to a post it isn't a violation.
Also, there isn't any rule about which post one chooses to reply to. I don't see any rule regarding asking someone to leave either. I don't see anything about "blatant disrespect".
I assume that if I or anyone follows the rules posted then they have complied with the requirements to continue.
Seems to me that there is an effort on your part to EDIT post by intimidation or the threat of being banned.
Ironic how clear violations such as self-promotion or solicitation is off your radar.
I realize that I have turned a bit nasty toward the christian posters and that is nothing more than venting. I will turn it down, BUT I have never violated the posted rules.
If that is a problem then PM me and tell me why. I am open to both criticism and suggestion, NOT a posting war. Agreed?
Mykcob4: As far as I can tell CyberLn is the moderator on this forum. I find it disruptive when I am debating someone to have you telling people to get the hell out. It serves no purpose other than to create negativity. You are not speaking for me when you act like AR's bouncer. If I want to report a troll or call in the marines I PM CyberLn. I enjoy your more reasonable posts and wish you would tone down the attacks.
@ chimp
I said I would tone it down
This is sparking unnecessary commotion between Atheist members. Personally, as far as Mr. Chimp said, I agree, but Mykcob4 has as much rights to express his thoughts on people as much as atheists or non-atheists do. Sometimes lashing out on people becomes a must when arrogance, obnoxiousness and pure-trolling is nigh. I personally wouldn't stand for it, and as a saying goes "I am not short-tempered, I have a quick reaction to bullshit".
It's my observation that people yell "trolling" when posters make comments that they don't agree with or respect. Accusing someone of being a troll is just a form of bullying.
The world is full of serious issues. Adults should be able to present their views on all of them without being castigated.
As someone who on occasion has engaged in the behavior listed in CyberLN's op, I can say, for myself, that simply being called out on it goes a long way. I do not think I am incapable of being an ass, and as such when my behavior can be shown to be of an ass like nature, then I stop, apologize to all parties involved and move on. I have had heated exchanges with CyberLN in the past and never once been banned so I am not worried about her abusing her role as Moderator.
