I was driving with my Sister-in-law and she told me Jesus would save me. I responded that I could not believe in Jesus and give up knowing that biological evolution was responsible for the diversity of life on earth. She responded that evolution was a non-issue. Once I got saved Jesus would "deal" with me and I would see the truth of creationism. I responded "Oh great, I get saved and Jesus makes me stupid"
This is just one example of obstacles to "faith" I experience daily. I consider myself open minded. No theist has ever convinced me (for long) that their god idea has any validity.
Any obstacles to faith you wish to share?

My obstacle is the fits of laughing at the thought that otherwise reasonable people believe those fairy tales.
obstacle = NO evidence
Christians can talk endlessly about their theology, church history, the bible, apologetics, and scripture as if it were a vast and growing body of knowledge like physics or astronomy. But when I look at it, all I see is a huge inverted pyramid of myth, legend, guesswork, fable, and lies, all balanced on a vanishing point of nothing. They actually know nothing. And that's the obstacle to my faith.
Exactly!
One thing that amuses me is the lack of knowledge gods have. They created the universe and yet are unaware of anything their human creators do not already know. First century gods unaware of microbes as source of disease.
21st century gods - no cures for cancer or solutions for global warming forthcoming!
God created humans
God is omnipotent
God is omniscient
God loves humans and wants to have a personal relationship with them
Some people don't believe that god exists and therefore have no personal relationship with him.
If god wanted a personal relationship with humans and he knew what is would take to make them believe and had the ability to do so why are there still non believers?
The biggest obstacle for me for faith in any gawds is that they are simply unnecessary.
gawds... love the word
Like CyberLn said, faith is just unnecessary. And also there is not a single piece of evidence or a convincing philosophical argument which would suggest the existence of a supernatural being who created the universe. In fact, that should be 'obstacle' enough for any rational person to accept such extraordinary claims but unfortunately is not.
One obstacle that I always encounter is content. Christians never say anything of any value. Chimp, you say that the can talk endlessly about their religion and faith. Indeed they do, but do they actually say anything?
For example:
I was talking to a neighbor whom I really dislike because she is so hateful to anything that isn't about her evangelical religion. During the election season, she went on and on how Hillary was a "baby killer'. I asked her if she had any proof and she said that they discussed it and church and she is definitely a baby killer. I pressed her for real proof and she had nothing, zero, nada.
She once press me for why I don't believe in her god (she didn't say her god, she just said god, but there are many gods, so....). I told her that there is no proof of her god. She said the bible is proof. I said where in the bible is their proof. She said there were 500 eyewitnesses of the resurrection. I pointed out the facts that the oldest bible says that 3 cleaning women found the tomb empty and that is about the whole of it. She said and I quote "you need to go to church"! Really? no content, no proof. All I hear from these idiots is that god is great, I walk with the lord.
In the pet store yesterday a woman was wearing a shirt that read.
Jesus is lord
Jesus is love
Jesus is eternal
Jesus is my savior.
No content, just blanket statements. Christians always make blanket statements and expect you to except them. If you don't or even question them, they become indignant rude and hostile.
There is no content to anything christian.
If a student offered the bible as a homework thesis, it would get an "F" for lack of content alone. Even if the class was fiction creative writing.
Mere words are not content.
Take the morons that come on this forum and say that they can prove their god exists. All that they have done is sit around in their underwear and thought of ways to reword things, all the while munching on cheets and drinking mountain dew. That is just empty-headed speculation at best.
Religion has no content, no substance, no facts, nothing.
