Non Answers from a Christian

Recently, MJM threw down the gauntlet when he/she wrote in effect: Send me your toughest theological questions about christianity and god and I will provide the answers you need. So, I submitted a dozen questions. Other participants submitted hundreds more questions.

What happened next? Nothing. No answers. No great insights. Nothing.

Some of you might ask: What did or do you expect?? I expected MJM to fail entirely and that is exactly what happened.

To me, the bottom line is that IF the holy babble was and is the inspired word of the creator of the universe, any believer should have all the information and proof and facts necessary to make a compelling and convincing case that the god of the babble is real.

Instead, this book has all the earmarks of being written by a bunch of bronze age peasants. There is nothing in that christians can point to as being good evidence that any of the books of the babble are the inspired word of a god.

Hopefully you planted a seed

Hopefully you planted a seed that will eventually result in an atheist. Many deconversions take place over years that I have read and heard about. It is a process of attrition.

It is also nice to have the

It is also nice to have the constant reminder that the bible and various religions have zero real answers based on real world testable evidence. I have no reason to doubt my atheism, but a reminder that I got it right over and over is rather nice.

The belief in a god requires an enormous leap of faith, stepping over all evidence and discarding all logic and science when it comes to the subject.

I guess MJM got more than he

I guess MJM got more than he bargained for when he challenged the Atheist of AR. I think him seeking answers to are questions got him in trouble with his elders.

In my opinion, the elders

In my opinion, the elders shot the messenger. I think MJM thought his teachers at babble college would have answers.

Sorry MJM. The theologians you consulted were no better equipped than you to explain and defend and justify their faith.
