My life has changed

So in the past few weeks I have learned allot mainly from some history and science books I read. I have also tried to read some of the bible and found it overall to be neither horrible nor amazing but simply dull. From some reading and personal experience I have concluded that theist try to rationalize there belief by making logical arguments in there head. Now from afar they make sense but when you examine them they instantly fall apart. The ones I made were the miracles as well as pascal's wager to satisfy my belief. Since I stopped believing, like it felt bad at first but there was an strange sense of freedom to it. but the phantoms of those arguments still haunt me sometimes which is why I posted the threads on the sun miracle and the corpses, I will probably bring them up again in the future but other than that I would like to thank all of you for overing your time and patience for listening to my problems it really means allot. As always sorry for my terrible English.

Its great to have you on the

Its great to have you on the forum my friend. I can tell you from personal experience as a former evangelical, it will get easier. The fear and anxiety will start do dissipate with time. Your mind will acclimate to reality if you allow it to do so.

If I read what you had to say

If I read what you had to say correctly JacobCorneluis, at one time in the past you rationalized that a particular religion/god is real due to Pascal's Wager. And that (along with miracles) still gives you some anxiety as you adjust the realization that their is no god.

I assume you are already aware and have read numerous powerful rebuttals from the atheist side on Pascal's Wager. If not I would recommend that you read them. I will be happy to provide a few links if you need them. And I am sure many people on this board would be happy to further discuss Pascal's Wager rebuttals with you to help you further understand why Pascal's Wager is nonsense.

It is truly great to hear of people like you that are able to shed the con that is nearly all major religions, (at least all of the ones I know anything about.) It probably was not easy and I salute you for taking what can be a scary plunge away from the siren song that is religion to an all powerful deity.
