I know it is presumptive of me to be the judge to award these insignificant trophies, but I am going to do it anyway. Notice I made no negative awards. It serves no purpose to do so.
I award Nyarlathotep 5 stars for scientific clarification and logic. This member is the one to go to when you need to understand anything scientific.
I award Pitar 5 stars for waxing poetic far beyond the limits of humankind.
I award Sir Random 5 stars for youthful enthusiasm.
I award CyberLN 5 stars for the most tolerant of moderations.
I award The Pragmatic 5 stars for the most humorous of replies that actually get responses.
I award chimp3 5 stars for actually sorting through the minutia and getting to the meat of every issue and asking the most logic questions that no one seems to attempt to answer.
I award Charvak 5 stars for the most honest of posters I have ever seen. Not that others are not honest, but Charvak is dogged about staying on the issue, and never engaging in fights.

I agree with these awardings, and applaud those who revived them. Now to figure out how to get on the list myself.
And also, who the hell disagreed?!
Xavier de Forres - "And also, who the hell disagreed?!"
Naw; that isn't what that means. I know it's confusing as hell. You are allowed to agree once. If you click agree, it changes the button to "disagree" in case you change your mind. It's weird but you get accustom to it.
/e You can't actually "disagree" with an initial post (no matter what that damn button says). All you can do is "undo" your agree vote.
Thank you for clarifying.
I appreciate your post and welcome your perspective here. You are also a rising star on the forum.
Why thank you.
Wait... what? "the most humorous of replies"? I'm the comic sidekick? I was hoping for the intellectual hero. Well, best not look a gifted horse in the mouth... ;)
You have a particular talent for casting a lighthearted slant on heated issues. Your post are poignant and well thought out, but also they defuse confusion and anger with adeptness.
Thanks for the kudos. I just thought they did not answer because my probing questions were too mundane or silly. Glad now that I outsmarted them!
I am amazed at how often you ask very specific questions that people are just afraid to answer.
I read somewhere about "Judge not lest ye be judged." No, wait, forget that!
You are most definitely a rising star on this forum.
I say we do this Monthly, it's nice and fun and the fun part is, they all deserved those 5 stars. Wish we had a medal system here.
If anything you are prolific. It's exhausting just trying to keep up with you.
(British Accent) Ohhuhuhu.... Well thank you sir.
WHY DID THREE PEOPLE DISSAGREE?! Jk :P
If you'd noticed, all of the recipients were vets of the forum. That is not to say some of the newer members don't deserve recognition. They most certainly do. Also, it was hard to decide what kind of award each person won't get. I didn't want to be redundant. Obviously, there are those that garner the same kind of award, and it was close to whom which would receive. If you noticed that some of the people don't necessarily agree with me from time to time, even admonished some of my posts. I applied no prejudices except that these people maintained a strict standard, and were positive.
I could have generated honorable mentions, but there are far too many for a single thread.
I didn't award myself, although I thought about it. I didn't think an award for "bluntness" was worthy of the list.
Note taken. Mykcob4 received a nomination for next time for "Extremely strait forward and blunt debating, and for being extremely adept at getting strait to the point". All who agree with this nomination, say "I".
I
@Xavier de Forres
I, by formal statement, nominate MykCob4 for being "Extremely strait forward and blunt debating, and for being extremely adept at getting strait to the point".
I hope this gets somewhere.
Why thank you all. I can't help but be blunt, er uh, rude. It's my nature. I have never liked the amenities of polite conversation. It seems it just gets in the way of facts, and I want the facts as fast as I can get them.
"It seems it just gets in the way of facts, and I want the facts as fast as I can get them."
A job well done on giving one of the only reasonings that makes rudeness appropriate.
What! Not even an honorable mention for my labor of love, the "Science Gives God The Bump!" thread? And those massive rebuttals that once hammered the anti-evolution nonsense, forgotten already? Why, this system is rigged! :)
Well, I have to admit that Nylarlathotep welds an especially sharp sword of science and reason, a sword that often finds its mark. I must agree that chimp3 exhibits a wise overview that often finds the key points in the fewest words. Pitar 5 is certainly the laid-back poet who speaks a lot more wisdom than error. As for The Pragmatic, I see him as a patient, dignified practitioner of reason. And that gruff fellow, that judge with whom I have a bone to pick, I do find his no-nonsense approach refreshing even though it gets him into hot water at times. What has happened to Random Chance? I enjoy his posts as I do Charvak and the others on the A-team. Some new promising lights have arrived as of late and I look forward to their contributions.
Sorry, Green Snake. Of course, you get 5 stars for the most comprehensive post imaginable!
Like I said I missed a few, but what's stopping all of you from using this thread to award deserving people?
mykcob4,
I forgot to add that you are usually right! Well, back to duty stations.
Usually right? Usually? Am I not always right? Just kidding. I wanted to sound like a theist for a second.
Also, Wacthman deserves a special 5 star award. His post are usually replies. More specifically he clarifies what posters post by asking what they mean. Then he systematically helps them to clarify what they mean. Then he respectfully rebuttals their comments if he disagrees!
Thank you mykob4 -
However you did miss out on Greensnake for the most informative posts.
And yourself for being the most passionate.

The reason I focus on minutiae is the arguments from theists are a house of cards. I think what I am doing is similar to Socrates asking Euthyphro detailed questions in order to expose the frailty of his arguments. (In all humility , the difference between me and Socrates is I am a doofus and he is .. well, Socrates.) Sometimes my probing replies are never answered because big gusts of wind blow the house of cards down before I get to see the framework exposed. Life in the fora !
