I'm pretty sure thats why he

I'm pretty sure thats why he said not to ask questions (Quran 5:101-102). He could have "prophesized" whatever he wanted to, and knew people wouldnt question him. Its worked pretty well, Muslims still believe all the nonsense in the quran.

Prophecy and religion go hand

Prophecy and religion go hand in hand. Some people make prophecy to this day. What is funny is to watch the prophecy not come true and the believers scrambling to explain. In Christianity there are many examples of this. There are those who try to accurately predict the date of the rapture and then get left standing on a hill top. Like the Millerites on 10/22/1844. They were very disappointed. They regrouped and are now called Seventh-Day Adventists - a minor yet prosperous protestant sect. Here is a link to a kook who claims Jesus told him 2016 would be the year. http://www.christiantruthcenter.com/prophecy-of-a-heavenly-sign-wonder-n...

Did you look at the links I posted on your converts thread? I understand how you feel, breaking away from the conditioning is hard, but it does get easier. On your converts thread, I posted a few links to the Council of Ex-Muslims. I really urge you to join their forum, theyre a really nice bunch, and they've all been through exactly what you're going through now.
