I see it done by the left all

I see it done by the left all the time. Just ignore what the right has to say with the indication that it is stupid. look at some of the debates between mccain and obama. Obama pulls that trick every once in a while

The left is just uninhibited.

The left is just uninhibited. They're happy to shout invective, beat drums, march, riot, destroy property and generally piss on anything and everyone that doesn't agree with their agenda all while having their hands out looking to the very people they claim to be their enemy to pay for the damage they caused and support their needs. Ron Paul is a Republican. He ran in one presidential race as a Libertarian.
Calling Ron Paul a Libertarian because of his brief stint as a Libertarian candidate is like labeling anyone who ever had a moment where they thought they believed in God to be Christians.
That said, I wrote him in in 2008 because there was no way I could vote for McCain and no way in hell would I vote for obama.

<<-- what I did there. I didn't recognize the position as reality and made, what was effectively, a non sequitur to bolster my view

Dodgy effectiveness, but there it is :P
