That would be nice, but why stop there? Why not all churches?
Okay, okay, may not be realistic. Can we classify religion as a drug? Addictive, destructive, causes lots of harm etc. We tax alcohol, cigs, and especially pot a whole bunch, how about roughly the same tax rate on all the churches? I bet the tax windfall could fix some of the aging and broken infrastructure here in the US.

The Catholic Church is probably the worst beast in the bunch. But yes, all religious establishments should be vetted and punished.
The "good news" is that the Catholic Church is hemorrhaging money because of their organized rape-pedo-abuse ring, especially in the US:

They are probably worth that many many times over in the US alone, but more and more people are willing to speak up and the settlements keep picking up momentum (and not just in the US).
This will (hopefully) force the Vatican to start doing something about the massive organized abuse machinery. The Church sure don't care about the kids. Don't get me wrong, individuals may care, but the Church is a psychopath.
