Anyone catch wind of this current slant on the whole jesus story thing? It would appear the scholars are now cocking an eyebrow towards hallucinogenic mushrooms as the basis for the bible story. Hmmm, fricking hippies...

McKenna's self transforming machine elves are back!
I read a book with title "Moses" in early 2000, and it says that Moses was drug consumer. The author mentioned it as a rotten apple that exist in the Jordan valley.
Magic mushroom can create a spiritual impression to the user, so I heard. But without experiencing spiritual life that is as far as the user goes, until the next batch is consumed. And slowly it effect will dissipate by repetition.
I told my inlaw that there is an archer who is capable of hitting an aspirin tablet with his arrows over and over. And he (my inlaw) constantly denying it by saying it is a BS. I asked him to watch it, it is in YT, and he said it is a BS. Few weeks later he was persuaded to watch it, and he said the guy was awesome.
"Magic mushroom can create a spiritual impression to the user, so I heard."
Yep, they sure can, particularly if one is inclined toward that sort of thing. They can also introduce one to how our perceptions and brain power directly inform our versions of reality, if one is inclined that way. For me it often offered a "visual/tactile" experience of how an altered state of sensory perception and brain processing creates a different model of reality, solidifying my suspicions that reality is something wholly unlike what I perceive day to day. I can imagine that people who don't already entertain those notions may tend toward imagining something transcendent like spiritual enlightenment.
"But without experiencing spiritual life that is as far as the user goes, until the next batch is consumed."
Not so in my experience. If we flip this statement to "...without experiencing reality that is as far as the user goes..." then I'd say that most of my experiments have left me with stronger ideas about the limits of my perception of what really is all around us in the natural/material world.
"And slowly it effect will dissipate by repetition."
Again not so in my experience. Although I may have had a better idea of what to expect after the first few times, the did not diminish the perception altering effect.
This was of course decades ago that I experimented around like that, but those experiences stay with me to this day and I cherish them as lucky opportunities to view whatever reality is through another lens. I highly recommend it.
Pscilly!
Mushrooms.. Hmmmm. That explains a lot about the bullshit in the holy babble

I have to take your word for it since I never taste it, in fact I have never taste any drug ever.
So what is the greatest advantage of this drug for the user other than stimulates the brain?
No caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin), acetaminophen (tylenol), or most other medications?
Oh coffee is a drug? I got that daily alright. But yearly on fasting month for the whole month I did not drink coffee. I was a smoker once long time ago, so that too?
The last pain relief I took was maybe 4 years ago for such an intense toothache while waiting for the dentist booking.
I used to love eating Psilocybin. Not addictive. It is a self limiting pursuit. After awhile it becomes 2 hours of cosmic giggles then a 10-12 hour ordeal waiting for the effects to wear off. I seriously doubt Jesus took mushrooms. They would have to have to been imported from India. They do not grow in deserts. They can be found wild in the U.S. along the Mexican border near Del Rio , Texas.
