YEP: Sermon on the Mt. You are to drop everything and follow Jesus. Beatitudes stress poverty is a virtue and woe to the rich and successful. This life is meaningless, only the life to come matters. Leave your families, which you should hate according to Luke ("If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.") and just follow Jesus. "Think not of tomorrow." Don't worry about feeding the kids, education, rent, preparing for a rainy day, or anything else because you are more important than a lily and the frigging lilies are doing just fine. Ignorance and bad advice stacked on ignorance and bad advice.
The tale of jesus is too similar to the tale of Charlie Manson. Living the hippy life, keeping everyone drunk on free wine, preaching your version that condones anarchy, violence, even slavery. And jesus did have a hooker who was part of the entourage.

If we lived as Jesus is said to live, it would mean torturing everybody who does not agree with us.
If Jesus lived he lived to die, Everyone was to die within the Apostles' lifetimes. The world was to come to judgement. It didn't. More like a story leading up to Jonestown than anything else. Messianic cults and crackpot sects as well as cold hard gold diggers much like our modern friend Jo Smith abounded in 1st century Palestine. Most were much more successful than this Jesus fellow as they scored hits with the chroniclers of the day whereas Jesus scored a big fat zero with all the reviewers. So live like Jesus was to die unknown, unmentioned and unevidenced.

Okay, let's see how did an imaginary person live 2000 years ago?
Well obviously I need to move out of my house, Jebus did not have AC or central heating. He probably lived in a 1 room hut or under the stars most of his life. Give up the car too obviously. No modern medicine, if I get sick or what ever I deal with it, or go visit the local shaman to pray the evil spirits away.
It was said jesus was carpenter, I will take that literally, so all day out in the sun hammering away and shaping wood etc. I certainly could not afford aspirin, but I do believe it was discovered in some cultures by then, just probably not the local one in the mediterranean area.
I am supposed to be poor, and get people to follow me, and then eventually the local superstition in power notices my growing group of followers and I get crucified. But at least people will talk a lot about me 2000 years later.
Of Course really, jesus was made up / plagiarized hundreds of years after his supposed death, oh well.
But yeah I will pass on living like jebus. Seems like all his "followers" today do as well.
