Good morning. QOTD: Why do Christians try to scare children with hell and tell them they're going to hell if they lie, but when it's time for adults to tell the truth they lie? Do they really believe in Hell or they just do it because they're told everytime they lie they'll be forgiven? So if that's thecase, what's stopping children from being forgiven if God will forgive a lying ass adult?

well I Biggus Dicus consider it to be pretty much the same as saying if your bad you will be on santa's naughty list. the only thing
different is that they now have a whip behind them. as for adults its just a way of control.
When I was 11 years old I had to go to confession at the Catholic Church. We had to say this " "Bless me father for I have sinned. These are my sins..." and you had to list them. One week I could not think of any sins so I lied to the priest and told him I stole my friends bike. He gave me so many "Hail Marys' and "Our fathers" as penance and I never said them. I never confessed my lie to any priest and I never went to confession after the age of 11. I win!
