How to take religion out of everyday life.

Hi folks. I've been non-religious from my beginning and have always tried to weed out the places it creeps in. One of those places is the sneeze. What do you say when someone sneezes besides "god bless you"? Better yet, why do you say anything at all at a sneeze? After a few drinks with my girlfriend and quite a bit of debate, we came up with this: "I acknowledge your sneeze, and rate it a 4". (scale 1-10)

If anyone can come up with anything different, or on another subject relevant, please post it so we can use it to diminish religious crooks and crannies.

This is really simple. There

This is really simple. There is no religion in every day life unless your put it there. When someone says "Bod bless you." Look at them seriously and tell them, "Wow! That worked. I feel better already." They should know you are lying unless they are completely dense. How about this, try asking. "Doesn't he have anything better to do?" If you want to comment on someone else sneezing, why not "Wow, that was a big one." I will back away and wipe my shirt like something landed on it in some cases. Just teasing. Of course it depends on the situation and the person.

Just for shits and giggles,

Just for shits and giggles, my wife and I started telling each other, "Hail, Satan!" whenever we sneeze. Just good for a little chuckle if we are alone. If we are out in public, however, some of the looks we get are priceless. lol

I grew up hearing people

I grew up hearing people recite a rhyme like this according to the number of times you sneezed.

One for a wish
Two for a kiss
Three for a letter
Four for something better
Five for silver
Six for gold
Seven for a secret,
Never to be told.

Then I went to Japan, and they told me that a sneeze was a sure sign that someone, somewhere was talking about you.

But if you ever have the misfortune to sneeze while recovering from chest surgery, there is only one word to say, and it starts with F. And if someone has the stupidity to say "Bless you", be sure to give them both barrels from your 12-gauge snotgun point-blank right in the face the next time you sneeze.

If somebody sneezes and gets

If somebody sneezes and gets it all over me I say "Hey! Don't you know how colds and flu are spread!"

(Fact) People don't sneeze

(Fact) People don't sneeze when they are sleeping.

(Superstition) Satan sleeps in your nose at night so if you were to sneeze while sleeping you would rudely wake him up.

Why don't people routinely

Why don't people routinely say "God Bless You!" when someone vomits, has projectile diarrhea, or is unexpectedly Incontinent? Do blase' godwishes only extend so far up the prayer ladder?

It may be a myth but a sneeze

It may be a myth but a sneeze could be a sign that the body is trying to rid itself of foreign invaders. Like Trump sneezes if he ever has a clear thought.

Those damn demons are always

Those damn demons are always invading when I'm awake.
