What I usually say to Christians is:
Have a Happy Pagan Day!!!!
Have a great eat/drink/retail- therapy/shoot-the-inlaws day.
My daughter (36 yo) calls it Presentmas.
@CyberLN,
I like it but I'm thinkin' Giftmas flows better.
Agreed. I'll let her know.
Just joined up to post a link to this post (I am aka Max Wyvern).
Inspired by this brilliant essay by Robert Creamer
Good post and a great article by Robert Creamer.
I really liked this:
"Next time you listen to a Donald Trump diatribe, try and imagine if his remarks reflect the spirit you might hear from someone like Jesus."
Of course, this should be applied to everyone in a position of power claiming to represent a Christian view, not just Trump.
@Joel of Montara,
Yeah, that's brilliant. Huffpost publishing an article quoting jesus to prove that the left is more christmasy than the right while advocating for muslims who might be the only people who hate atheists more than christians.
I mean is it really a religious holiday anymore? There are more secular traditions associated with Christmas than anything else these days. Santa outweighs Jesus in terms or popularity. You also have the likes of Kirk Cameron desperately trying to attach everything about Christmas to Jesus.
