Another interesting trend is the growth of Aboriginal religions. Religious missions played a key role in the colonization/assimilation process in both Australia and New Zealand, so a high percentage of Aborigines/Maori are Anglican or Catholic. But many Aborigines now seem to be turning their backs on the colonial religions.
