Any dogma that punishes

Any dogma that punishes individuals for their honestly-held beliefs cannot claim to be merciful.

lightside, do you consider

lightside, do you consider the folks who call themselves ex-muslims to be apostates? If so, should they be punished for that apostasy?

Is it impossible to quit being a Muslim?

Lightside, why must people

Lightside, why must people remain if they have chosen not to? What if they find love outside of their culture? What if they like bacon? What if they simply have no need for this faith?, are minding their own business, and wish to be left alone... do they not deserve that respect?

the mercy of God is infinite , for anyone of you , no matter what he said before , or wrote before , you must know that God can forgive everything , he loves us and his mercy is wider than anything ,and he can forgive anything , no matter what you have done

Infinite mercy eh? Forgive anything eh no matter what you have done huh?

Sweet. I will keep that in mind. If I ever find a time where I feel I need god's mercy etc I know I can get it. Until that time I will happily go on being me, doing what I like to do, and not wasting time praying or reading 1000+ year old writings.

Note: I seriously doubt I will ever find my self in a situation where I felt I needed "god's" mercy or forgiveness, but hey, if I do, no harm no foul I can get it then and go on being a happy as a clam atheist now.

@lightside,

@lightside,

You don't seem to believe that Muslims can leave Islam for any reason.

Instead, I'd like to know why you're still a Muslim, even though you must know your prophet was a pedophile who married a 9-year old girl?

@ CHK-C

Actually married a 6 year old, consummated the marriage when she was 9 years young. He was 52 - 56 years old. Apparently enjoyed 'thighing' ( a practice I cant describe here without throwing up a little in my mouth) and bathing naked with her before the actual act of consummation. We are expected to laud this person for his self control.....Islam lost me at that point.

Re: OP

Ummmmm.... Shouldn't you be saying "Allah" instead of "God"? And what legitimate Muslim uses a Coran??? Even more so, what TRUE Muslim claims to love Christians, Jews, and atheists??? I'm calling TROLL!

And perhaps when he realised he was in an atheist site thought it better to withdraw before authorities began sniffing around his avatar...my suspicious side makes me think we could be under surveillance by those keen to nab possible apostates....just a thought
