Hey, I wanted to start this topic to share and talk about statistics-comparisions-conclusions-contradictions about crimes committed by Western countries. Can I ? If it is going to be disturbing for some "persons" please let me know at the beginning.
I will share the info as below;

How about in English? I used to speak French, but that was over 35 years ago.

Hello Farah:
First, unless you're suggesting that crimes like sexual harassment are somehow linked to religion, your thread might be more relevant on a political site. That's just my opinion. Others may disagree.
Second, if you're going to compare national statistics for sexual harassment and other crimes, you'll also need to allow for differences in reporting rates and the treatment of complainants in different countries. In some countries victims are disbelieved, shamed and harassed by police and lawyers, resulting in very low reporting and prosecution rates. In other countries victims are believed and supported, while perpetrators are fired and prosecuted. These differences will make international comparisons very difficult.
Third, I question your motives in alleging that the West is especially guilty in this regard.
I would like to know how "Western" is defined, and would like to see comparable data for The Criminal East.
@Sapporo: I would like to know how "Western" is defined
Europe + North America
Europe + North America (excluding Mexico and Cuba) + English-speaking OECD members in the British Commonwealth + Japan and South Korea
Countries with democratic, capitalist systems
Countries where Christianity dominates (except Russian Orthodox Christianity)
The world excluding North Korea, Muslim-majority countries, Latin America, Africa, Asia (except Singapore, Japan and S. Korea)
White Anglo-Saxon Protestant (WASP) countries
Countries that George W Bush and Donald Trump can pronounce
Countries where they give you a trial before they hang you
So the term depends on your point of view and is basically meaningless. Any sentence that begins "In the West...." is nonsense.
Farah …… are you familiar with the term "TROLL" ?
I only ask because I found your copied and pasted posts on at least two more websites...…

So I was just wondering just what it is you are after... ???
Edit …..
Just found another one...

… and on a number of other forums in addition to those we've already identified.
There is no comparison. You are comparing countries that give a damn about these issues with countries that do not. I live in Korea and travel extensively throughout Asian. I have little or no experience with Islamic countries but I imagine they are even worse than Asian countries. Not only can you not compare these issues between countries but you can not transfer definitions between countries. Talk to the average Muslim woman and she has no idea at all what would constitute sexual harassment by American standards.

At least four most known faces of Ferguson riots have died suspiciously since 2014.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Ferguson riots involved over a thousand people and went on for weeks. Ten members of the public and six police officers were injured, and 321 people were arrested.
What is the statistical probability that people living in high risk neighborhoods get killed?
The persons who "died" are not random guys that involved in the riots. According to news they were "leading persons" in the events.
That's suspicious.
What is the statistical probability that people living in high risk neighborhoods and engaging in violent activities get killed?
Farah: Perhaps you could begin with your conclusion and then attempt to support it. This round about way of just assertion and statistic isn't getting you anywhere.
But currently there is nothing that needed to make a conclusion.
Nothing is needed?!?
If nothing is needed to make conclusions how do decide which conclusions to take? There is literally infinite different possible conclusions if you do not apply things like evidence to determine a possible conclusion.

I thought this thread was about comparisons, but no data has been given for The Criminal East yet.
Western Europe is the most peaceful region in the most peaceful period in history, in terms of number of people being murdered or killed in wars:
https://ourworldindata.org/war-and-peace
The Criminal East by comparison does poorly in terms of peacefulness:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Peace_Index
https://ourworldindata.org/terrorism
It also tends to do poorly when it comes to concepts such as "democracy" and "human rights":
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democracy_Index
https://ourworldindata.org/human-rights
You are derailing the topic which is only about Western countries. You can start another topic for other countries.
Your OP mentioned comparisons with "The Criminal West".
In Syria since 2011 for example, the leader there has declared war on his own people, leading to more than 5 million people leaving as refugees, and the deaths of more than half a million people. The country has no concept of democracy, and human rights are not respected.
I thought he was comparing Western Countries to Eastern Countries. How many Western Countries do you think there are? What counts as a Western Country - Economic prowess or simply location? N America is Western but how about Mexico, Peru, or Argentina? Europe is Counted as Western but what about Greece or Turkey?
Aren't they part of the Economic West? What will you do with South Africa?
So we are not going to lean on statistics nor are we going to make comparisons.
Farah, what is your agenda? I suspect you mislabeled the post name and desire to discuss an issue of concern to you. I suspect what the real topic is, but we do need more to go on.
Comparision of Western countries. The subject is crimes that committed by Western countries, not Non-Western countries.
@Sarah First you have to define what you mean by "Western countries" then we can debate the crimes committed by them.
"Western countries" while looking specific to the ignorant, is actually very vague term and encapsules many definitions. Are we talking geographic location, economic status, culture, or level of democracy?
Until it is defined, this conversation will be at a stalemate, because we do not want to construct a strawman argument on accident.
West of where? :P
Is this thread about crimes committed in the west, or crimes committed by western governments? The OP isn't very specific. It talks about the thread being about crimes being committed by western countries, that is governmental actors, but the example is of individual people committing crimes in the west. There's a pretty significant difference between the two things.
Hey Peurii
Where the hell you been dude? Welcome back.

That’s a mouse avatar, right???? I mean, I’m the only rat here, right???? Right guys???? God, I love that avatar.
Sorry. Back to topic. The West is evil of most. The Evil One delights in all the evil of the West.
