After thousands of terrorist attacks and thousands of years of oppression, slavery, torture, war I am no longer willing to, nor do I care to try and figure out who is a "good" christian or who is a "good" muslim. In my view, these are Abrahamic death cults. The bible and the Quran are stone age hate manuals, they aren't misinterpreted by a few, the religions haven't been hijacked. The true believers are the militants who read the books for what they are. "The good ones" are just people who have cherry picked out the bits that allow them to conveniently live in society without being imprisoned or worse. All the while being able to say "I am a Christian" or "I am a Muslim" without getting their hands dirty. This shows me that the books and the cults are outdated and need to go.
In any case, its my position!

There's a fine line between having no beliefs about God, and being angry and resentful towards those that do. If that line doesn't make one militant, then I'm not sure what does.
I think religion and all the dead bodies it has piled up, not to mention oppression of ... just about everyone, is pretty much responsible for any atheist "overstepping".

2. "Oppression" is not the foundation of the United States of America. Christianity is. Read some history. That is why millions of people come to America every year. How many are emigrating to atheist North Korea? That's your kind of place.
Nobody forces any atheist to say the pledge of allegiance to "one nation, Under God."
Nobody forces you to contribute to much less attend any church service.

Very easy to find religious oppression. An extreme and obvious form of oppression occurs at most abortion clinics with the crazies holding up their highly hypocritical sings and harassing woman during one of the most difficult days of their lives. But the real oppression is the work the religious nut jobs have done to deny this important medical procedure to millions of woman in various states.
I always find this interesting.
It takes acts of overt brutality for a theist to be considered militant. As apparently arguing that anyone that isn't a male heterosexual should be discriminated against isn't enough. Yet all an atheist as to do is write a strongly worded post/letter to be considered militant. No violence, threats of violence, or demands that over 50% of the population should be discriminated against needed.
So not only do I find that interesting, I find it quite odd!
A Christian that becomes hateful of anyone that isn't a male heterosexual has become both militant and unchristian. Stahp it lol.

As for its history look at what the catholic church did to Galileo who proved the bishop and the magisterium wrong, look at the fighting between Catholics and protestants in northern Ireland over 4,000 killed look at the health and wealth gospel teaching being parody about the prosperity gospel the health and wealth gospel, I could go on and on if you like. The church was always in one big mess. And will always be, You know why because there are a bunch of liars and hypocrites in the church.And Christian followers are a big bunch of hypocrites. Tell me as a Christian do you tithe? there are over 30,000 protestant denominations which one is the true one here. What is the religion any way? Christianity and Islam are perfect for each other because they are both death cults. According to the Bible a certain number of Christians MUST be killed before Yeshua returns. Islam is more than willing to do the killing because the jihadists get rewarded for it. And since no one can go to the golden cube or to paradise until Yeshua returns it's in their best interests for the killing to continue. People gotta get killed to satisfy Yeshua or else he won't return and no one can go to the golden cube or to paradise.
