According to the words of one of its designers it is a symbol of white supremacy.
William Tappan Thompson:
"As a people,we are fighting to maintain the Heaven-ordained supremacy of the white man over the inferior or colored race; a white flag would thus be emblematical of our cause."
"As a national emblem, it is significant of our higher cause, the cause of a superior race, and a higher civilization contending against ignorance, infidelity, and barbarism."
OK! Enough said. It is a symbol of White Supremacy. Take them down!

I totally agree
It was designed a a battle flag in a war that was aiming to retain slavery. The fact it was designed as a white supremacist flag only further shows how toxic it is. But even if it wasn't densigned for that purpose, it's used for that purpose. So yes take them down.
What is odd, is that flag is about the most unpatriotic thing I can imagine for an American to display; yet the people who display them often describe themselves as such.
They also claim to be Christians while blowing up churches with young girls inside.
@orignal post
I did not know that. Just another reason to utterly despise anyone who displays that flag.
I rarely if ever see that flag where I live. If I saw such a flag, (or a picture etc,) in a regular place, I would be tempted to graffiti a giant "No" on that flag with spray paint. I probably would have to be extremely careful, I think lots of the type of people that so overtly display their hate/ignorance probably have guns and are itching to use them on anyone that disagrees with them.
