The Old Testament is bull shit history and a lot of it is Egyptian. The story tellers just coated it with a thick layer of crap.
For example, consider Genesis 15:18 (CEB) = "That day the Lord cut a covenant with Abram: “To your descendants I give this land, from Egypt’s river to the great Euphrates,".
When did the Israelites ever control that area? They never did. But the Egyptians did. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Kingdom_of_Egypt And the Israelites copied Amenhotep IV's practice of monotheism.
